John T (es) wrote: I just cant fathom why British movie makers insist on making films about football violence and what's more puzzling is why do i bother to watch them?. Awaydays is yet another bad attemp to captures the dark days of football. This movie tries to be far too clever for it's own good and just end up being a complete mess and it's not helped by a dismall soundtrack that contains some of the most depressing music of the 1980's .( Joy Division - What an Oxy moron) One plus point about Awaydays is that it's still not as bad as Green Street!

And another star for the actual film itself...I liked the style much better than I did the plot.
Lucie F (br) wrote: Surely it's not a masterpiece, but at least it's as good as L'Aubergue Espagnole.
Keith F (de) wrote: This is NOT a comedy. How it can be advertised or marketed as such is beyond me. It is dark, depressing and painful to watch. It is not fun to watch two people to spend 2 hours arguing, crying and complaining. If you are looking for a fun lighthearted movie you are looking in the wrong place. Beyond the fact this movie is not a comedy, its just not a good movie either. It drags along and the suddenly ends with no resolution. Pass on it!
