Eric C (kr) wrote: Pretty disappointing. They could have done so much more with this event and covered so many angles. I feel like they took the low hanging fruit of the performance art vs authoritarianism instead of going into the complexities of religion/speech/assembly in modern-day Russia. Oh well.

Yash B (es) wrote: This is an engrossing and well acted biopic that tells a relevant and ultimately inspiring story. It feels a bit overlong at times but the movie is fascinating. Idris Elba does an excellent job portraying Mandela and he is definitely the film's strongest link. All of the supporting work is great too. It probably could have been better but it is nonetheless a solid film respecting a great man who never gave up in what he believed in. The strong themes, good performances, and relevance of the story ultimately make this one worth a watch.

James H (nl) wrote: We've seen this type of concept already, it's not very original. The acting is fantastic and the script is good, except it isn't very solid. Some of the action scenes were too chaotic, but when they got it right, I reckon it was it was dead on. The worst part about the film is probably the unintentually funny scenes. it ruined the atmosphere of the film.

Paul K (au) wrote: I really enjoyed 'The Man Without a Past' but this one left me cold. I guess you have to be Finnish to appreciate the humour in it. I just felt that it was a kind of reverse tourist feature, in that anyone seeing this would never visit Finland - or if they lived there, then leaving would be the only sane option. It kind of starts in a bad place and goes continuously downhill from there. I guess if you were feeling over-elated this might calm you down; otherwise, avoid.

Jon F (ca) wrote: an excellent dark comedy about rival air traffic controllers and how their jobs and rivalry affect their personal lives

Jake R (au) wrote: Heath is good of course but seeing this movie for the first time in 2016 is jarring. It really shows its age.

Drew H (us) wrote: Saw this back in the day and it wasn't Jet's best work to many guns not enough kicking. Then America re-dubbed it and put and hip hop soundtrack to it and it was even worse.

Dev T (br) wrote: A solid film which does not surpass expectation, yet it does not disappoint. It starts out exceptionally but starts to wither around the middle, causing it to fall a little. Still worth a viewing and in my opinion does not receive the credit that it so deserves. Should almost be a blueprint for political 'who-done-it' films.

Tanner B (nl) wrote: Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls (1995) ? 1/2 D: Steve Oedekerk. Jim Carrey, Ian McNeice, Simon Callow, Maynard Eziashi, Bob Gunton. Dreadful comedy (a sequel to the equally unfunny ACE VENTURE: PET DETECTIVE) has Carrey trek to Africa in search of rare species while also continue to mug rather than act. Rates higher than ?? simply because of an opening spoof of CLIFFHANGER which is admittedly clever. Otherwise, straight up dreck.
