Carlo Magno M (kr) wrote: It's an "AWww..." Lifetime/Hallmark western prairie "christian" love story. Feel good movie about honoring commitments & doing what's right. But let me get this straight though: A convict, let alone a stranger walking into a town for the very first time, was sent to an isolated farm with barely any supervision by a trusting sheriff as part of his community service tended only by two young women whose parents died before their times. Befriends the younger teenage girl the whole time while working there. Hmmn?!?!? Something wrong with this picture?!?!? Back then that was romantic now it's called something else. Felt bad for the guy though when the old flame showed up. =P

Zack B (de) wrote: Just when you thought the series couldn't get any worse...Police Academy 6: City Under Siege! It's the same recycled story as the previous five films. At this point the series has grown really, really tiresome. The only thing that seperates this film from the rest is that it's somewhat of a mystery of who the villain is.

Andrew J (ag) wrote: Great performance by all involved. Good insight into tap.

Matty S (ru) wrote: This movie is so bad it works its way around to being great fun. Cinematic error and camp fun! Must be seen to be believed.

Jeff B (ru) wrote: Godzilla looks the best since he "[Raided] Again", but King Caesar is a weird dog creature that sucks. Mechagodzilla is cool though, and there's weird space-apes trying to take over earth. Enjoyable and the ending fight is pretty brutal, especially as Godzilla films from this era go.

Private U (ca) wrote: Not the greatest film ever, but kept my interest fro start to finish.

Michael E (gb) wrote: Biggest let down I've ever experienced in my years of movie watching. Remember coming across the original trailer with Kaiti Kink Ensemble's "Under the Iron Sky" giving a feeling of foreboding and mystery. Made me expect some sort of dark/noir-esque historical fiction movie where the Nazi's come back, but are now far more advanced than any of the world powers on Earth (much like their military tech during the WW2). What we got instead was some crap and extremely over the top comedy. So much promise, only to fail after taking the second step. Don't waste your time with this one.

Yuri B (es) wrote: I thought this movie was great... just sad that this was Aaliyah's performance on screen... R.I.P.

Stuart K (ca) wrote: This is a remake of Norman Jewison's 1975 sports/sci-fi dystopia, here directed by John McTiernan (Predator (1987), Die Hard (1988) and Last Action Hero (1993)). It seemed like a good idea on paper, but on film, it's an absolute mess. God knows how, but this manages to look even more dated than the 1975 original. Everyone went in with so much good faith, but it was delayed by a year and it sank without trace, not surprising really. It is the year 2005, and rising hockey player Jonathan Cross (Chris Klein) is approached by Marcus Ridley (LL Cool J) to compete in the highly competitive sport of Rollerball, which is popular in Asia, Russia, Eastern Europe and parts of the Middle East. Cross is playing for the Zhambel Horsemen in Kazakhstan, and Jonathan is groomed by promoter Alexi Petrovich (Jean Reno), who gives him riches and fame. But, Jonathan, Marcus and fellow team member Aurora (Rebecca Romijn) discover skulduggery regarding Alexi's business strategies, with staged "accidents" occuring during the game, just to get the viewing figures up, Jonathan wants to put a stop to all this. It could have been a good film, but McTiernan failed with a cast who are stilted and a script that's as cliched and cheesy as they come. It's all over the place, with fast action that's impossible to keep up with and this is ADD cinema, and it shouldn't have come to all this.
