Aiden P (gb) wrote: Seve the Movie is a beautiful tribute to one of the greatest professional golfers of all time, Seve Ballesteros. Not only did Director John-Paul Davidson perfectly capture the charming scenery of Ballesteros' childhood home in Pedrena, Spain, but also added admirable authenticity with the film being produced in the Spanish language. Ballesteros was the first Spanish golfer to be so wildly successful, so the importance of that fact was detailed attractively in the film. The sport of golf has definitely come a long way in the past forty years, but it was truly engaging to watch the dedicated Ballesteros beat every obstacle on his path to becoming champion. Seve the Movie did not disappoint in portraying the fallen legend with reverence.

John D (ag) wrote: Finney really makes this one work. Frears' tempo becomes stagnant at times, understandable for a relative novice, so thankfully Finney's experience moves the plot along with a fine dollop of sparkle. A commendable debut made all the better by a classy lead player.
