Billy S (ag) wrote: Decent enough acting but nothing more than pointless gratuitous violence - torture porn. If you're a sick sadist and get off on watching people suffer then this is for you.

Michael H (gb) wrote: What? A warm hearted cricket drama where the cricket actually looks realistic?? And a cameo from Kapil Dev playing himself? Seriously - there are not enough films like this. An unmitigated joy.

Mikael K (nl) wrote: An honestly sympathetic and stylish romantic comedy about a struggling songwriter (Christian Cambell) who hooks up with a go-go boy (John Paul Pitoc) and tries desperately to arrange for some intimate time alone with him, only to be repeatedly interrupted by the most unlikely events. The quest for privacy continues through the night, during which our protagonist encounters some truly peculiar situations and characters."Trick" owes a lot to Martin Scorsese's "After Hours" except that this time the night isn't a comedic nightmare that sinks the protagonist deeper into despair. It's more of a journey of discovery, and the overall tone of the story is pretty serious. Cambell does well, and so do all the other actors (Tori Spelling excluded) while Jim Fall holds the potentially chaotic mixture of scenes together well. And thankfully the romantic aspect of the story is left with minimum attention, allowing the characters individual growth as well as giving enough attention to all the wonderful quest appearances by many delightfully edgy and interesting personas.

Michael M (es) wrote: I'd forgotten how good this movie is. My only 2 complaints: Minnie Driver's teefs and Robin Williams' armhair. Aside from that it's excellent.

Jacob K (de) wrote: Although in a different breed you can say Air Bud is back but this time he is wrestling and through this sport he finds family and the true meaning of friendship.
