Serge L (nl) wrote: Slow paced film following a guy that feels rather country hanging with one girl feeling rather down and rock and roll once and another girl hanging with him feeling up and rather rock and roll all the time. The film is a bit trippy with pleasant music. Seems to be about the angst of growing adult. And the temptation of rock and roll. Rock and roll being a relief from the angst of growing adult and closer to death I suppose. The film is some sort of beauty, a beautiful pain that wants to linger and take some away. The survivors are into rock and roll. Some sign of psychopathy amongst the characters that would explain much..

Luke C (de) wrote: Rob Schneider stars and co-wrote the script and his buddy Adam Sandler and his production company Happy Madison Productions is involved in this. It's just a dumb Adam Sandler movie, gross-out humor, too dumb. Rob Schneider plays Deuce a professional tank cleaner he's hired by Antoine LeConte (Oded Fehr) a gigolo. After Deuce breaks Antoine's fish tank, an order to pay for the tank he takes a job as a male gigolo. When he meets one of his costumers Kate (Arija Bareikis) he feels in love with her. I have to be honest I laughed some of the jokes work and don't succeed. 2.5/5 stars

As a viewer, you take this piece tenderly into your mind and try to unravel it, knowing it was built passionately by a greater mind than yours, and the art itself pushes you in a thousand different directions at once; emotionally, intellectually, psychologically. Pasolini effectively draws and quarters his audience with the sheer scope, depth, and intricacies (and occasionally contradictions) of his art. As a passionate lover of cinema and filmmaking-hopeful myself, Pasolini personifies my endless sorrow at the rapid degradation of the young art that is cinema. I curse the world that films like these are no longer allowed to exist.
David S (nl) wrote: Wonderful atmosphere with an incredible dream sequence that is obviously influence by German Expressionism. The plot is rather straight forward but is executed effectively as we get into the mind of the lead character (literally and figuratively) as he goes over the edge and begins to doubt his sanity - Is Peter Lorre the murderer or is he a figment of McGuire's mind? Stark lightening and twisting locales all reflect the inner turmoil of the lead character. This is indeed a very good and solid noir!
Tristan M (es) wrote: Very close to a zombie movie, with the only real difference is that they don't eat you, if you are bit you don't turn, and they require a different method to be killed. Now I don't know anything about vampires and how they have to be killed, but through the heart with wooden stake does ring a bell. It has some good scares, is tense and thrilling throughout, and the vampires look quite good. The story is good, the pace and cinematography are good too, and the characters are well developed. The 'Brotherhood' are always in the back of your mind, and are mor deadly than even the vampires. It doesn't really make sense that this group of religious men would be so evil, but considering the time it's understandable. But some things like dropping vampires from the helicopters, and having the one brother who turned being capable of thinking and talking and remembering people was kinda a dumb addition, as I think having one of the two is better than having both, although I personally prefer the mindless type. I was waiting of the pregnant women to have her water break at the wrong time, but then she gets taken, and when they chase her I assume they will save her, but she dies! This defiantly has it's unexpected moments, and it all works out really well. The ending is good and leaves room for a sequel, and finishes it off well. Overall good movie, first real vampire movie I have seen, not like the most of them, but I prefer the zombie ones far more. Well done but has some flaws
