Bevan S (it) wrote: Really great little movie - well written with good characters and acting, beautifully filmed, fun soundtrack.

Daniel P (gb) wrote: Streaked with melancholia and dark humour, this unsentimental drama about characters finding things missing in their lives and trying to change benefits from low-key performances and dialogue that feels real. The story itself is fairly straightforward and the direction unfussy; it's the sadness that stays with you afterward.

Simp P (br) wrote: Wow!! Watching this was like reverse baptism. I don't want to hear it. You have never seen one like this. If you can take it, you should watch this but be prepared! The "car-crash" (wants to look away but cannot) factor is through the roof! Altogether I think the message is positive, you know, sticking together no matter how bad / ugly things get. If your sense of humour is dark enough, you will love this film.

Esther S (mx) wrote: I was fascinated by this film. A great romance without being excessively sentimental. One of Demi Moore's best roles. The two male lads are played by actors who normally portray slightly sinister or suspicious charaters yet here here they were kind and loving.Like the main character I was so caught up in both worlds I couldn't bear to part with anyone. An underrated gem.

Lucas W (kr) wrote: Best animated movie ever. I love every joke and soo much it offers.

Monet J (mx) wrote: Like every other movie about inner city kids that are misfits. The music was bad and the acting wasn't all that great either. I sorta liked the plot.

Kevin R (it) wrote: The heart is the seat of emotions and passion Spirits of the Dead delivers three wonderful short stories. The first short story tells the tale of a princess who falls in love with a man that dies trying to save his horses from a fire. How will she deal with his death? The second story depicts a man confessing to a murder he conducted in a dream. The final tale depicts an actor who will do anything to succeed. "Is it blood?" "No. Fire." Federico Fellini (8 1/2 and La Strada), Louis Malle (Elevator to the Gallows and Atlantic City), and Roger Vadim (Barbarella and God Created Woman) each deliver a segment of Spirits of the Dead. The storylines for each segment is wonderful. It actually reminded me of A Clockwork Orange in the way the characters are presented, developed, and ultimately delivered. The cast delivers awesome performances and includes Peter Fonda, Jane Fonda, Brigitte Bardot, Alain Delon, and Terence Stamp. "Drunkness makes man a beast." I came across this film on Turner Classic Movies (TCM) and had to DVR it based on the wonderful cast and the fall season. I adored each of these films and thought they contained wonderful plots and brilliant characters. I strongly recommend seeing this underrated gem, especially as Halloween approaches. "Curiosity, the need to know..." Grade: A
