Dennis S (fr) wrote: Quite a mix of stunning scenery, acting and subject. Very moving and very sensitive concerning parenting and protecting children. Bravo!

Jordan F (nl) wrote: A below average attempt at a revenge thriller from China. Story was all over the place and the pace was slow. The music was decent. The emotional acting from the father was weird to say the least. Bottom line it wasnt completely awful, just very forgettable.

Chris D (ca) wrote: Seriously, this film will make you laugh till you cry but the story is all over the place and it's witty slapstick antics are too often interrupted by long drawn out discussions amongst its characters...Wen Jiang should take some advice from Bruce Lee who once said..."A motion picture is motion, you gotta keep the dialogue down".

Eric S (ru) wrote: Some great actors/actresses in here but this film is less thrilling and more of an analysis of the people in it. I thought it was interesting to create a story with the setting taking place in the few days before Sept 11, and I think they capture the way of life at that time, but it all evolves into something somewhat. Hate to say that about a film that has John Turturro in it, who is one of my favorite actors, but thats how it was. Nice cinematography though.

Kate S (es) wrote: Dark comedy, come to Katherine. Oversexed on purpose, but I watched it to see the story play out, which was satisfying.

Michael J (kr) wrote: Well, I was expecting a truly ??B?? movie and was pleasantly surprised. This was a pretty decent movie. This was apparent right from the start ?? normally in a ??B?? movie you know what you are getting into from the first scene. The movie starts with an event that occurs in 1947 and then brings to present day, 2003, and continues the story. What made this movie worth watching is that it relied on acting and character interaction and not visual effects. The characters are well defined and believable (always a good trait in any movie) and when special effects are used they are done well. Any Sci-Fi enthusiast would appreciate this movie and anyone that enjoys James Spader will also enjoy this movie.

Paul D (ag) wrote: I liked this more when I was a kid, but now that I am older I can really understand how much of a mess it is. It had a good concept at it's core, but Emilio Estevez's screenplay and direction needed a bit of a polish. it's not a horrible movie, but it isn't overly worthy of remembrance either.

John C (it) wrote: A modern satire on class struggle, Carrey fits perfectly in his role of emulating a struggling business man, providing quirky, consistent humor.

Jeff Z (kr) wrote: Interesting Randolph Scott western where he plays "Custer's favorite" troop commander who went away to fetch his fiance (Barbara Hale, Della Street from "Perry Mason") right before Custer managed to lead his men into the slaughter at Little BigHorn. Somehow people seem to think this was a cowardly act on his part and that he missed the massacre on purpose. So he spends the movie having to prove he's no coward. What makes it interesting is Scott's character constantly defends Custer's actions, proclaiming the Army is trying to "whitewash" the event and that it was really Major Reno and Major Benteen's fault. Today most historians believe the exact opposite and that Custer's recklessness, pride and negligence was the reason for the Little Bighorn, thus making Scott's character 100% wrong. Barbara Hale is good but she's way too young for Scott, who looks to be about the same age as the actor playing her father. Harry Carey Jr. has a nice part as Custer's bugler.

Cade H (ru) wrote: Kid Cannabis seems like it will be your typical teen comedy about smoking weed and partying. Turns out, this film was a great drama based on the true story of a guy who started a drug smuggling business from Canada and became rich. The whole thing was just interesting and involving and it very rarely lost my interest. The group of friends are fun and likable and seeing how their smuggling plan comes together was amazing. There may be lots of smoking and craziness that goes on but its all context with the serious nature going on around them. The title may turn most people away but if you give this film a shot, it has a lot to enjoy.

Thomas B (au) wrote: *****Ocean's Eleven is a great heist movie, one of the best ever made. It has a slick script with clever twists and funny jokes, and direction which immerses you into all the excitement. And with a cast consisting of George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon, how can't you at least like it?

Sean P (fr) wrote: Endearing story of an elderly couples love and a father regrets of past mistakes. Stamp and Redgrave were convincing in their depictions.
