(ru) wrote: The people behind the irritating (yet popular) Minions movies bring us this average animated film what dogs and cats do when humans leave. Not really...its about a couple of pets who end up lost, on the run from dog catchers, are embroiled with a crazy gang of abandoned pets, and have to make their way home. Its a touch of the Toy Story formula mixed with the more brash style of the "Despicable Me" franchise. It doesn't really work for me, but I get the appeal for some crowds. My kid seemed to like most of it, though she seemed genuinely scared at some points. It's not really mu bag though.

The cast of this movie is nothing short of amazing and brings to life this story and the atrocities that happened to Cinque and the men and women who were kidnapped along with him. A sad tale in American History, it is important that we never forget these people and the path they paved for all mankind.

This installment finds Carol Anne sent off to live with her aunt and uncle in Chicago, and in therapy for her belief in ghosts; but her treatments unwittingly resurrect the spirit of Kane, who proceeds to attack Carol Anne and her family once again. Heather O'Rourke returns, and is joined by Nancy Allen, Tom Skerritt, and Lara Flynn Boyle. Yet despite the strong cast, the writing is incredibly bad; with a convoluted plot and characters that make no sense (things just happen without reason). There are some interesting ideas, with mirrors and doppelgangers, reality and illusion, but none of it ever develops into anything. Sadly, Poltergeist III's production was mired in tragedy, however, there's no excuse for such incompetent filmmaking as this.
