(kr) wrote: I would have preferred the story to not have been as transparent as it was, allowing for the kid's imagination to actually give him a form of escapism rather than a somewhat self-aware storytelling to himself. There are some heavy-handed lessons, but the lessons themselves are good and uniquely heavy.

(it) wrote: This is an extremely powerful movie. During the war, this movie made a very strong statement, and should have gotten more notoriety than it did. Excellent movie with a strong theme.
(us) wrote: Very very emtional and sad movie, but i loved watching it
(ru) wrote: The first one wasn't bad. This one you can tell though that they are just trying to milk it. I don't even think this one made it to theaters either.
(it) wrote: A very interesting film about children becoming adults and adults failing to maintain maturity. I love foreign films because they focus so much more on the story and human emotion rather than special effects and famous actors.
(kr) wrote: A much underrated, trippy, open ended thriller with overtones of David Lynch, A journey into the the mind of an obsessive, grief stricken, security worker, Led a merry dance by precognitive visions of his dead wife and the shady circumstances surrounding her murder. Refn creates a swirling, cerebral vision of subconscious and unwitting vengeance.

(us) wrote: John (Home Alone) Hughes is a dab hand at reconstituted family comedies. The script for this one he based on characters from Hank Ketcham's comic strip. The comic has been condensed into a sweet-naturedly nutty motion picture with the buoyancy of a clutch of colored balloons. A smooth blend of sentiment and slapstick. Kids just don't come any cuter than Mason Gamble -- a platinum-haired half-pint who as that cartoon troublemaker "Dennis the Menace" recalls a knee-high Leslie Nielsen. Loaded with just-this-side-of-sadistic slapstick sight gags perpetrated by a precocious blond tyke. Beyond the booby traps and plentiful pranks, "Dennis the Menace" is truly a treat for all ages, tickling kids and reminding grown-ups that their own "inner child" is still very much alive. And lots more mischievous than they remembered. VERDICT: "In The Zone" - [Mixed Reaction] These kinds of movies are usually movies that had some good things, but some bad things kept it from being amazing. This rating says buy an ex-rental or a cheap price of the DVD to own. If you consider cinema, ask for people's opinion on the film. (Films that are rated 2.5 or 3 stars

(au) wrote: CLASSIC!!!! Be sure to see the uncut version! (The first film ever to cost a million dollars). -- its been 25 years since I saw this as a Goodtimes VHS video. "All's Right With the World," a character says. and then the bombs fall . . . even on a cinema (a Movie Theater).
(ag) wrote: Absolutely the most amazing movie of the 20th century. Spielberg's a genius. Christian Bale rocks!
(ru) wrote: Sorority Row is creative and alluringly casted, but it isn't enough to save it from its formulaic plot and less-than-perfect thrills.
(jp) wrote: Action throughout the whole movie. If you're into the whole gruesome gore filled movie thing, this is a must watch!
