Jackson, Tracy Morgan, Harvey Fierstein, Gilbert Gottfried, Lewis Black, Jon Lovitz, Christina Applegate, Norm MacDonald...why did they even think this was a good idea? Did they all owe Saget favors? Did he blow each and every one of them? A literal shit on the floor is better than this "script" Saget wrote. Now, Bob Saget is occasionally brilliant in his stand-up, yes, even considering that about 90% of his act is the words fuck, shit, cunt, and variants of them. So you'd think there'd be at least some belly laughs in 80 minutes of voice-over. Well folks, there isn't. Not a one, not any, nil, nothing, nada.

OK, well never mind this and watch this movie only with a group of friends that want a laugh. It really is pretty bad and I have a HUGE tolerance for bad movies. It just keeps going, like the undead themselves! freakishly bad, but sometimes fun, and that one guys hair and the girls eyebrows are GIGANTIC! I challenge any to find bigger eyebrows on a woman!

Richard D (jp) wrote: "Parkland" sells itself as the story of the events at Parkland hospital on the day John F. Kennedy was shot, but it's not. It's the story of doctors and nurses at Parkland hospital, and the story of Abraham Zapruder, and the story of Lee Harvey Oswald's brother, and the story of an FBI agent who was tracking Oswald, and the story of the head of the Secret Service in Dallas ... all mixed together with no connecting thread. Parts of it are quite interesting, but there's no coherent story being told, and really, no reason to be watching these particular stories as opposed to the dozens of other stories from that day.
Gavin P (au) wrote: A very scattershot rom-com, which is simple in premise - a couple describes their story to their friends at dinner, via flashback - but doesn't click often. Poehler & Rudd are good, but it's directed by David Wain, so it's just a bunch of their 'Wet Hot American Summer' friends (Meloni, Ian Black, Marino) having fun and not really worrying about making a good film. There's so many side characters (Hader, Kemper, Mantzoukas, Helms, Park, McBrayer, Scott, Stamos, Greenfield, Shannon, Dean Morgan) that there's no time for anyone to have any meaningful impact and get anything more than cursory laughs. Lots of attempted jokes to skewer the genre, but most of them are too over-the-top or stupid, that they don't work. Would've been better as a TV show/sketch.
