Ryan T (it) wrote: Perhaps it is because I had such low expectations of the film prior to seeing it, and while I like Cruz, she is a terrible cast for her role.Still, this film was better than its confusing predecessor. Luckily Depp and Rush carry a fast paced film that could have used more character development regarding the Spanish, Phillip, and the mermaids..

Lee M (br) wrote: This family drama tries so hard to be warm and uplifting that you keep rooting for it to be better than it is.

Justin O (es) wrote: Although Mick Epps makes it funny, it's not all that great and definately a far cry from the original.

Cody P (gb) wrote: An awesome realistic take on a super hero origin story. Lots of mystery and suspense abound.

Julian T (mx) wrote: Simple formula: Rubber bats + Lou Diamond Phillips = Win. Well, so you would think... One of those movies where you can't tell if its supposed to be funny or serious. The bats are... horrible. I think they probably bought them at a Party City a few minutes before filming. So many plot holes and just cheap gimmiks to go along with horrible script and worse acting (although Dina Meyer is pretty damn hot). Kind of a throwback to the 'nature attacks' genre of the 60's and 70's, but has none of the charm. Its in that weird area where its a B movie with high production value, and that makes it subpar as it pertains to both serious film, and B movie film.

Ashley H (nl) wrote: The Republic did a good job with this film, especially in their choice of actors. Sterling Hayden is a convincing Jim Bowie, and also Richard Carlson as William B. Travis. Arthur Hunnicutt did a good job as Davy Crockett. Ana Maria Alberghetti has a sweet face and through the live she shows for Jim Bowie, we are able to understand what a living legend he must have been. All films about the story of Texas has one problem: it is confusing to those who are not familiar with it. The Last Command suffers from this problem, too many events are only mentioned, without being shown. This movie is good but could have been better.

Raj M (ru) wrote: One of the worst movies I have ever seen. An insult to intelligence and an assault on your senses. Takes the art of movie making to a new low in every department. I watched it just to see how bad it could get. Could be a good case study on "How Not to Make a Movie".

Randy C (es) wrote: the story was good but they made it messy for the film. nothing special.

ME J (mx) wrote: Twilight was one of the more divisive adaptations of a young adult novel. Loving or hating the series always seemed secondary to opinionated takes on the moral worth of the series. Even fans were divided into camps: the infamous battle between Team Edward and Team Jacob. Undoubtedly, Twilight presents a problematic representation of relationships and has even worse issues dealing with race. However, the assumption that the film is without merit is false. Twilight provided a means of exploring female desire through popular media. The troublesome relationship between Bella and her paramour reflect many of the issues present in other mainstream films. Yet focalizing on the female character showcased some of the negative relationship traits frequently represented in much of dominate cinema. More importantly the film reflected the aesthetic mode of the gaze sharply turning the camera towards an objectified male body. Wether or not this is film that can be recommended is entirely up to the viewers own interests. If the viewer is able to look past some of the more troubling aspects of the film's content they will find that Twilight contains a number of redeemable qualities most notably a strong aesthetic sensibility care of director Catherine Hardwicke.

Jeremy N (es) wrote: Way above average giallo set in England with some great set-pieces and a particularly gruesome modus operandi. Morricone's brilliantly constructed main theme tune is one of his very best.
