The Christmas Miracle Of Jonathan Toomey torrent reviews

WS W (fr) wrote: Good intentions but rather old-schooled TV-movie scale, melodramatic & dull.

P M (ru) wrote: A thin character study made bearable only by Douglas, though little seems to change him despite the contrived fall and redemption the story suggests we are witnessing. Also wastes a wonderful supporting cast.

Josh A (jp) wrote: It's a pretty bizarre movie. The direction could have used some work in spots, and some transitions are less than seamless, but it is funny and entertaining for the most part. It has sort of a Napoleon Dynamite-esque quality to it, and there are some solid comedic actors here, including Gold, who makes up for some of the directing flaws by delivering a pretty good lead performance. Obviously, the premise is also pretty wacky, and it leads to... a soundtrack with Rush on it.

Caesar B (nl) wrote: This is a B-movie if ever there was one, they should have called it 'Cage does Bangkok'. In his job as international hitman he's sent off to Bangkok to slay some evil Bangkokians and along the way he takes in a local as his protg and falls in love with a homely tranny mime. His gloomy ass is happy at some point, but you just know it's gonna end poorly, BD is damn predictable in that regard. In the first act Cage explains his four rules to being a hitman and then he spends the entire film breaking them ten times over with dire consequences. The action scenes are downright boring at times, I found myself typing this review during most of them. This movie is set up like a fucking advert for Thailand, the creator of this movie obviously spent a lot of time there, fell in love with the country and wanted to pay homage to it by making this (or some such shit, ykwim). Unfortunately, I just don't enjoy Thailand at all. Why? Well, because of its culture, food, history, infrastructure, people and smells, so I'm not buying what they're selling. Thai bashing aside, this really is a mediocre flick, Cage shouldn't have signed up for it and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody unless it was part of a dare.

Dan H (gb) wrote: decent film, but it's weighed down by too many subplots that you just don't care about and divert attention from the plot about the outbreak. Dustin Hoffman, Kevin Spacey, and Cuba Gooding Jr all put on good performances, and the outbreak plot is pretty interesting it's just all too clear that by the end of the film that the movie was more interested in it's multiple ridiculous subplots than the medical drama. Outbreak is a silly over-dramatic film, and it is fairly entertaining....it's just not all that good (it is ok though, decent).
