The year is 1976 and it is a dangerous year in the Straits of Yucatan. The man is Jack Hooks, a former cop set up by his corrupt partner and sent to jail for a drug crime he didn't commit. After being yanked out of prison with an early release deal offered by the DEA, he is sent on a do or die mission; bring down the drug trade of his former partner, Frank Rossi and his contacts. Hooks has no choice but to plunge into the underworld of marijuana smuggling by making one big run through the narrow channel that flows between Cuba and Mexico, also known as "The Eye", and into the heart of a violent Colombian drug ring.

For a movie with Ben Stiller and Eddie Murphy in it, the comedy is really not funny, and this pack of losers would never have pulled this off giving it zero credibility. Tea Leone's character was someone I'd like to meet though.

First of all how do dolls have baby's, why is a movie studio using the real murderous dolls in their film, how do you kill someone with a string, and why did a guy not realize his guts just fell out of his stomach? This movie is so bad Chucky can never be scary after this film, it's just impossible.

It could be several things: fortune, happiness, love, guilt, faith, trust, fate, coincidence, et cetera. All the individual stories are really quite beautiful though, with moments of deep elation and moments of inexplicable grief.
Robert A (jp) wrote: It was an interesting little movie. A little weird at first, but uh what would you expect! At 79 minutes it seems like it's missing something. In fact the Canadian Uncut version is 10 minutes longer. -_- I know there is something missing! I have a VHS US release of the film. I am wondering what exactly did they have to cut! -_- lol Since I saw a scene/clip of this film on IFC's series Indie Sex I know there is at least that part missing. I'm damned curious to see what is in the 10 minute longer version. Without those scenes this film is a lot less interesting. I was waiting for that scene! XDDD Didn't happen. Now I'll have to find the Canadian version, hopefully it's online somewhere, I'd rather not spend $15 for the Out of Print DVD.

While it is just as cheesy and poorly acted as the first the fact that is a tad bit more family friendly makes it all seem more enjoyable. As with the first, Conan The Destroyer doesn't seem to understand that its target audience should be younger viewers as the cheesy writing, poor effects, and outlandish storytelling make for a movie kids will enjoy more than adults. At least this one does a better job at realizing it more than its predecessor.
Allan C (gb) wrote: This one is a strange mixed bag of good and bad. Mickey Rouke co-worte the film and plays a 40something Jewish street thug. The story cliches abound and the action scenes are not done well at all. However, Mickey gives a good (though strange) performance, as do Adrian Brodie, Tupac, and Ted Levine. There's also a few good tough guy posturing scenes, which often don't work well in films but did in this one.

Steven L (br) wrote: An odd movie for William Castle, it's a spy movie which is odd because Castle was known for making horror movies. And don't ask me why it's called "13 Frightened Girls" because it focuses on 1 girl and she has a sidekick of another girl. There are 13 girls in total but the other 11 girls are side notes at best. No twist, no horror, no real thrills or anything. An quirky little spy movie about a 16 year girl who is a diplomat's daughter and becomes a secret spy. Eh....
