Cagney is perfect struggling with being the big mob guy and trying to get Etting to Love him back. Some great swing, good musical numbers, sadly, none with Cagney,.
Stephen L (nl) wrote: Loathing abounds in this early film from Ingmar Bergman. Everyone just hates life. That is, of course, until Berit finds Gosta. The relationship is extreme and hits highs and lows constantly. The depression and self-hatred will appear in Bergman's later work so if you can't handle this, turn back now. Improves on the preceeding films and has some very intense moments. The abortion episode is done perfectly. Really a very good film.
