Private U (jp) wrote: Sure it's not The Last Picture Show, but what is. It is still a very good character study and somewhat less bleak than its predecessor.

Adam M (gb) wrote: A true classic. This is my favourite anime of all time and is just class. Sure it's starting to show some age, but you can't find a cooler hero than Cobra - the most wanted man in the galaxy!Have to admit that some of it depends on what dub you watch, which could easily cost the film a star. The newer DVD release from a few years back is a poorer dub so be warned!

cody f (ca) wrote: Great Kirk Douglas performance, one of his best. He is a old school cowboy dealing with modern times. The Frontier has been taken over by fences, cars, and laws and Kirk was born in the wrong century. He is a good man with outdated ideals that are crushing him. Walter Matthau is fantastic as a cop who chases Kirk, but pity's him. Tragic story with great performances(including Kirk's horse Whiskey) and memorable ending. A must see.

Dan H (ca) wrote: The action scenes are really well done for the most part, but the drama and the dialogue are pretty poor, and I personally really didn't like the score for the film. The plot and the way the whole thing plays out is also pretty well done. This is a very dark, depressing, and melodramatic film. It's downright unpleasant most of the time. So, lots of things I liked and lots of things I didn't like. Death Sentence is an interesting, unpleasant, and uneven film.

Bill R (ag) wrote: This was in the horror section but it's more of a thriller then anything. It was a little on the creepy and eerie uncomfortable side. yet it was fairly original on its premise of what the pit was and how it was choosing. The other part of the story is just a bit backwoods keeping it in the family but still family regardless I guess. not too bad for an unheard of movie.

John T (de) wrote: This was ok. We have the start of the Super Power Registration Act (which they did in the Marvel universe as well). Flash and the Martian quit because of it.)
