I really wanted to fall in love with Police Story 2, and call it better than the original, but it's just not possible, when it seems much slower and less action packed. Police Story 2 is a great movie, but it's no Police Story.

(jp) wrote: Jean Harlow sizzles in this excellent little comedy. With her platinum hair & gorgeous accouterments, she is a dazzler. But her beauty should not obscure the fact that she was also a very good actress. She has rightfully earned her spot at the very top of the Hollywood pantheon... Gentlemen Prefer Platinum Blondes--HARLOW - Born to be Sassy - Comes out Classy... Good performances from all as Harlow seeks rich husband!!
(es) wrote: Solid characters, interesting writing, and good humor. Definitely a good family title, you won't soon get bored of it. A great twist on the classic "hero beats villain" genre, Megamind cleverly twists things, with a charming ending. Recommended for any fan of animated movies.
(au) wrote: The "Critics Consensus" is total bunk. "Disposable yarn?" This is no "yarn." It's history. Along those same lines, the little dweeb of a "critic," Anders Wotzke, make some juvenile comment about Cruise not looking German. How about taking a few seconds to do an internet search of Claus Von Stauffenberg before revealing yourself as a fool, Anders? The likeness is quite remarkable. I highly recommend this film. The story is true, the cast is stellar, and the acting is phenomenal. In a powerful way, this film answers the question, "How good the German people all just go along with Hitler?" The answer is they didn't. This film is a wonderful tribute to a few truly brave members of the resistance that paid a dear price for coming ever so close to taking out Hitler.
