This advance guard comedy will remain you involved, if only to observe what he will speak to his next girlfriend.'Everyone have you meet in your entire life is nothing but a mirror for you, to discover yourself.'

The idea that the two guys from the background are finally the stars, and the running gag that the whole idea of doing that is a terrible idea are good in concept, but the movie often strays into ridiculous territory, you don't want to really watch a movie that focuses on Jay...he belongs in the background. But there is plenty to like if your a fan of the Askewniverse, if not a fan then look elsewhere (unless you are just some stoner geek then you might like this). I found just enough in-jokes to keep me along for the ride...but only just enough.

Well acted, incredible stunts from car crashes, horse falling, airplane diving, falling off buildings all doen without the help of Computer generated images. One of Burt's best and once in a lifetime cast with Sally Fields, Jan Michael Vincent and ADAM WEST! A great homage to those men and ladies of the cinema smash em ups!

It has it all, the jaded veteran on his way home, the "this IS home"-type, the newcomer with rules and regulations citations on the tongue, the long suffering interpreter and the evaluator who just wants to close the mission down (ok, those do not exist in real life, we know!). The Absurdity of it all, the international inability to do things, the "but of course"-moments that are clear to locals but not to you, the gorgeous mountain scenery and absurdly dangerous roads in full speed, the grannies with scarfs and cows, the hoodlums with guns, the hatred and the effortless "let us turn this into a money making effort". The cast is brilliant and funnily enough it brought back a lot of situations that could not have happened anywhere but in the Balkans!
