Artem t (au) wrote: The movie after which Jolie-Pitt marriage collapsed.I would rate the movie as 2,5/5 for film being a bit slow in telling its story. The script does not surprise us much too.Robert Zemeckis is an experienced and talented director of expensive films. He is capable of building smart and emotional stories. And if the script lacks some of the important aspects, usually he achieves to fill it with exceptional directing.Unfortunately, 'Allied' is the movie that lacks real emotions. I can't say that Zemeckis did not strive to do his best. We even witness a vertiginous love scene in the middle of the sandstorm. Despite all the efforts, I did not actually believe in the emotions and feelings of the star duet - Cotillard and Pitt. The chemistry just did not work.If we recall similar 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith', it was not a masterpiece, though some scenes indeed sparked a few emotions in viewers.I won't say you will not feel anything while you watch 'Allied'. There were some beautiful episodes, like the scene of birth under the aerial bombshells.Pitt plays a cold-blooded spy, that won't hesitate if he needs to kill someone. He fires guns like a sharpshooter, shuffles cards like a trickster, knows every chemical formula out there. However, he is not fluent in French, while going on a mission to a French speaking Algeria. (?!)?That is one of the script gaps and you will notice a few more on your own without any remarkable efforts. Most probably the movie won't touch you much, however it delivers a few breathtaking scenes, where Cotillard shines at her best and sometimes we notice Brad Pitt playing splendid emotions.

For I have come down from heaven not to do my will, but the will of Him who sent me.'" Brody Sutton: I remember the thrill of driving my car, the pleasure of friendship, the touch of a woman who loved me. I remember the words of a man named Elijah Cohan, the man who told me about Jesus Christ. I remember, but it's like a dream, a dream from long ago, and it's fading. I still remember the last free choice I ever made. [insert showing Brody took the implant] Brody Sutton: It was the wrong choice.
