It's tragic and the best way to put this film is by what Amy Biancolli from the Houston Chronicle said about the film: "It makes us feel sympathy for the devil". It really does but, it wouldn't have worked if not for the outstanding acting from all it's actors, great pacing and everyone clearly just did their jobs well. This Is one movie that should be on everyone's must see before you die list.

(kr) wrote: This isn't as surprising as I expected, given the notorious NC-17 rating -- but that shouldn't suggest that Almodovar's film is in any way, disappointing -- it is in fact, a riveting experience with an insightful and compassionate script that features a few clever twists.

Babe 2 is one of those movies, like Return to Oz, where it's so different from the first, it's much darker and scarier, and yet I thought it was still a great film to watch. I know a lot of people didn't know what to think of when seeing this film, since it's obviously a sequel to the beloved Babe movie, and it's really dark in comparison to the first, which I understand. I think kids can sit down and watch it, I really don't think the material is too dark for most children to take, so I think it's fine to show this to kids. I was amazed by it's new creative characters, a really fun climax, and creative visuals and it ultimately made this movie work. Babe: Pig in the City is an incredible movie, and I'll be seeing it a few more times in the future.

Jared Leto offers his most Barbie doll-like expressions, while Claire Forlani tries to fool the audience acting as a sensual man eater, she fails miserably. Not to mention the score seems to be taken from a sunday afternoon flick.

(kr) wrote: Disturbing imagery complement this important neo-noir contribution from Czechoslovakia, where a sense of increasing paranoia increase the feeling of tension throughout. Powerful masterpiece that was banned for almost two decades; the thematic material, political and marital, are still present in the rotten reality of today. Jirina Bohdalov gives away a terrific performance! 99/100
