Jasrick J (br) wrote: Being a fan of Telugu cinema for awhile finally where I live in Surrey BC a telugu film was playing that at 9am. People were already lined up to enter at 8:30am when i arrived and the theatre was full before show started. All i can say is what an experience, people were throwing money, whistling, clapping during the film. Shows the power of cinema and Superstar Pawan Kalyan.Film was also very good, and entertaining, tells the story of an old grandpa who wants to reunite with his daughter who married without his consent, and was kicked out the house. Now his grandson must go to India from, Itlay to bring back his aunt and her family. A simple story that packs action, loads of comedy and sentiment. A full entertaining experience. Pawan Kalyan is the film, he killed it in all departments, he showed how good of actor he is in the climax. Brahmi was a laugh riot as Bhaskar, and ali was funny too. Samantha was too cute and amazingly good looking in the film. The Dir after Julayi does another film that adds mass and class sense ablities which equals a blockbuster film.Hats off Trivikam!!! Overall if want enetertainment do yourself a favour watch this film!!!

Sarah H (au) wrote: Ryan Kwanten is so funny in this. I didn't watch the previews so I didn't really know what to expect. The characters were well written and even with the somewhat strange premise it stays in the realm of reality.

Chris H (mx) wrote: Cleanly shot against stunning backgrounds, but completely fails to capture the feel or flow of the story. It's no surprise that this telling of story ended with the first chapter. You'd be better served by the Swedish movies, or even better, read the books.

Randy K (nl) wrote: A very touchng story, hard to watch in parts due to the reality of how hard life is for this family. But they stick together through it all. I recommend it. (I really like John Leguizamo as an actor.)

Jesse O (au) wrote: I really enjoyed this film, now that might be because I'm a huge Takashi Miike fan so I might be overrating the film a bit. To be honest this film isn't great, it's a very good film though. I can agree with Takashi Miike when he says that this is his masterpiece. It's not his best film by any means (Happiness of the Katakuris takes the cake in my opinion) but it's his most mature work in my opinion. I really enjoyed the film's visual style and cinematography, it's very unique and explores new grounds for Takashi Miike. The acting, while the dialogue was minimal, was good especially the two main actors did a very good job with their characters. The only bad thing about this film (and it's not even a complaint about the film) is that it's not accessible to mainstream audiences at all, I can only recommend it to people who are fans of Takashi Miike and those who enjoy surrealism. Hopefully Takashi Miike can continue to grow and mature as a director so we can get more experimental films like this from him.

Freddie K (kr) wrote: There was only three laughable moments in this entire movie,5 moments that were kinda cool, and 1000000000 that was just screaming for comedy. It is a bad movie, an awful movie, don't watch this.

Daniel L (mx) wrote: With pointless characters to lead an even more pointless story, the protector serves to see tony jaa kick ass in some awesome action scenes.

Pam H (nl) wrote: It was such a stupid / weird / silly movie that I really enjoyed it! lol

Dimitris P (de) wrote: The ending just spoils a very good film. There is no reason for all of the film or the principles that are proposed in the film. Just stupid.

Johnny T (br) wrote: Not as bad as it could have been, but nowhere near as good as it should have been, given the stellar comic cast. The film actually boasts a decent script with character development, a sense of pace and some well-drawn supporting roles. The star in this case is Martin Lawrence, who is not only thoroughly upstaged by nemesis Danny DeVito but is completely boxed out of his comfort zone for broad physical comedy. This dispensable comedy has a few unexpectedly loopy surprises, including an outlandishly gay detective (played by versatile actor William Fichtner), who loves the Ice Capades but loathes insurance fraud. Lawrence and DeVito are good, but these are essentially the same characters they're always playing: The bitter rich guy and the smooth con-man. And the story, based on the novel by acclaimed crime novelist Donald Westlake, seems as though it was initially played straight in the book, with the jokes added once Lawrence joined the cast. This sometimes funny but ultimately convoluted movie would have benefited enormously from letting Lawrence loose. This frothy little crime comedy isn't half bad, bubbling with caper-farce energy supplied by a game ensemble cast and a source novel by prolific pulp writer Donald E. Westlake. Among the disconnected scenes are a few that are downright hilarious, and the actors do their best to rise above disjointed material.VERDICT: "In The Zone" - [Mixed Reaction] These kinds of movies are usually movies that had some good things, but some bad things kept it from being amazing. This rating says buy an ex-rental or a cheap price of the DVD to own. If you consider cinema, ask for people's opinion on the film. (Films that are rated 2.5 or 3 stars)
