Maybe he, for some reason, thought that it would be a great idea to outdo "Rocky III" in absurdity or maybe he wanted to win some sort of "Most Montages in One Film" award? Regardless, "Rocky IV" is the weakest of the franchise yet.

DRAMA/ COMEDY There's something about dangerous professions that appeal to director Howard Hawks- first it was "Only Angels Have Wings" about air carriers of the South American jungle, and now "Hatari!" capturing animals humanly in Africa was a dangerous profession for zoos all over the world! In this day and age, people tranquilize the animals to sleep before transferring them to another location, but back then, there was a time when the only method people used to capture animals was a rope or a net! This is a movie about that particular time and place! What's exciting about this film was that actual animals were shown without a single one being hurt in the process! Also director Hawks directorial style is very evident here since animals are somewhat unpredictable which involves working with it's actors instead of a precise or distinctive way, they're obviously alot of preparation into this film and the animals are photographed very well, where some of it's dialogue is scripted and some of it is improvised! I don't care too much for the romance scenes amongst the cast resulting to predictability! What's also interesting is the cast of characters where one is an Italian, one's French and another a German nad of corse an American John Wayne and other ethnic groups! At a 150 some odd minutes, one would need the right state of mind to be able to watch this because I was! "Hatari" meaning danger in Swahill! 3.5 out of 4

Jessica L (ru) wrote: An intelligence based suspenseful film that keeps you wonder for more. The movie itself makes an interesting point in questioning the imperfection of the judicial system. The lesson Shelton is trying to teach is a hard one but I think he achieved it in the end hence the ending is respectfully satisfying. However one thing that bothered me was Nick's skill. Was he like a undercover spy strategist before his family was murdered or it was just within these past ten years? And why would a fellow spy rat the guy out D: tell the cops of his skills. I guess it's to move the story along but that is not cool of him.

David B (br) wrote: Wolf Creek is intelligent , gory and brilliantly structured. This relentless thrill ride leaves you hanging on the edge of your seat. It's mise en scene and cinematography compares with that of the Teaxas Chainsaw Massacre and at time exceeds it. The suspense is timed to perfection. A technique that is often lost in modern horror. A must see for any true Horror fanatic.
