(br) wrote: A beautifully shot Chinese film about four people that kill due to either paranoia, boredom, self-defense, or poor working conditions. Each character is intriguing and makes the audience understand the character before he/she starts killing. Sometimes slow, particularly in the second story, it's the films character development and cinematography that keeps interest. The social commentary is thinly veiled, but veiled enough that it doesn't distract from the stories. The social commentary reaches its peak with the brilliant last shot before the credits roll.

(au) wrote: I loved this film, it was totally far fetched, and the bullet dodging was ridiulous. But the part where Seven fights the rednecks in the bar, just excellent!!
(mx) wrote: Another brilliant Chris Guest et al collaboration. Anyone involved with community theatre knows these people - the ones who take themselves far too seriously with comic results.

(mx) wrote: It really didn't take off. All looking at Face of an Angel made we want to do was reread The Divine Comedy - the film itself is a complete turkey.
