Humberto R (us) wrote: Ballerina s a great french-canadian animation film about 2 waifs who escape their orphanage and go to Paris to reach their dreams & never give up, Flicie (Elle Fanning) with a passion a natural talent for dance & Victor (Dane Dehaan) an inventor. Beautiful music, landscapes & sceneries, a Belle poque tale that involves the construction of the Eiffel Tower & the Statue of Liberty. A kindly maid & a distinguished professor manage her to succeed. A movie for the whole family.

Rita M (kr) wrote: It's not an oscar movie but I do recommend. it was interesting especially because I didn't know this part of history.

Private U (kr) wrote: Basically Armageddon on a much lower budget. Redeeming factor - Anna Silk, this girl is gorgeous (she's the flight attendant in the NicoDerm Commercials)

Sunil J (jp) wrote: Watchable. The story is pretty blah depite it's potential. It could have been something really clever but there was very little as far as romance.

Luke B (br) wrote: Tries hard to make for a more realistic Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde but lands in the dull section. Scott isn't perfect but his performance(s) are the best part of the film. He seems to be enjoying himself and it adds to the audience's enjoyment. Hyde isn't exactly scary, more like a mix between The Joker and Jack Sparrow. He also isn't monstrous, which disappointed me. The ending was obvious, but I can't help but feel this was all done a lot better in Primal Fear.

Tim L (us) wrote: Not a bad attempt to bring the early Doctor Who series to the big screen, and the production much more lavish - being more akin to American sci-fi series of the time such as the original Star Trek. I think it works better as a camp, light-hearted kid's action sci-fi film for people unfamiliar with the early series, rather than as a big-screen representation. I think my recent interest in the William Hartnell episodes, which I've started to watch for the first time, has clouded my enjoyment of this slightly, as much of what I like about the original stories has been adapted. Though the plot remains pretty much the same, certain crucial elements (Barbera is now the Doctor's grand-daughter and Ian has been reduced from heroic to bumbling idiot - and what's with everyone calling the Doctor 'Who?!') are changed to the detriment of the film I believe. Nit-picking perhaps, and I'm sure most kids would love this action packed film. Although I thought it wasn't bad, I much prefer the grittier, darker T.V version.

Cooper H (ru) wrote: Children of Men is a good survival thriller. Cuarn keeps the tension high, but the reasoning to keep the baby a secret doesn't add up when they are allowed to walk away from death because of it.

Sandra A (ag) wrote: Great cast but way too much drama with a corny end.

Jason M (de) wrote: Just what you'd expect it to be, but not quite as much fun as you'd like. Creature suits are pretty great, Doug McClure (in a ski vest!) is Doug McClure, and the final showdown at the carnival is priceless.
