Stud S (fr) wrote: A lot of very dirty, ugly details have been sanitized in this movie, which is nothing more than propaganda promoting the corporation that runs Burning Man. The Board of Directors that preaches to people about decommodification and "protects the culture" by not allowing anyone to make money from Burning Man pockets millions each year, and they have a large stake in this film and controlled every aspect of it. This film exploits everyone who appears in it, for the sake of making some greedy rich people richer. ZERO OUT OF FIVE

Sean S (jp) wrote: Boy this was kind of a bomb, Jessica Alba playing against type as the daughter of a math professor and a math prodigy herself who sinks into the minutia as her father sinks into dementia. Not a lot here to recommend.
Christopher B (us) wrote: This is a stylish, sharply written, retro fusion of horror, black comedy and satire elevated to near perfect status because of Christian Bale's brilliant lead performance. That "Hip to be Square" scene is a brilliant wacky delight alone!

Nyk P (de) wrote: This is a very under rated movie, it's been a while since I've seen it but as far as I remember it was about a couple of Firefighters that learnt of a map for treasure so they wandered into a 'deserted' bulding only to get involved in the middle of gang business. Then they've got to get out of the building without getting murderised. It's funny, plenty of action and has Ice Cube in it before he became worthless as an actor. 7/10

Sujata B (es) wrote: Absolutely loved this movie - have re-watched it several times. This is not your flashy, action-packed film. Rather, it is subtle, thoughtful, and - ultimately - hauntingly heart-wrenching. The characters recite poetry. Well, I found the whole movie poetic. The acting was excellent and Alicia Vikander - who I'd never heard of before I saw this - blew me away. She didn't overact where the situation might have made that tolerable. Rather, her understated, restrained portrayal touched me more than garish histrionics ever would have. The rest of the cast was excellent as well and I really loved the use of dialogue, cinematography, and music throughout the film, all serving to heighten the underlying, powerful emotions that the characters experience. I am really surprised this movie didn't get more press. For me, it was my hands-down favorite movie of 2015.
