STEFFEN VOGT, aged around 25, is helping out at a German archeological excavation in Israel when he finds a 2,000-year-old skeleton holding the instructions for a video camera dating from the year 2003. The bones also show traces of the present day. His theory of a time-traveler who made a video of Jesus is laughed at by everyone, however, including SHARON, an attractive Israeli woman he adores. Although no one appears to believe him, his find certainly seems to have generated interest: Steffen is attacked shortly afterwards in his hotel room by strange men; then he discovers that the German embassy and the secret service are after him; and when his friend DAN is murdered, he goes into hiding.

Derek C (ca) wrote: Where "7 Up!" exposed the children and their childlike innocence and exuberance, the series gets more and more and mellow. The concept is amazing: following people around for 7-year increments, but "21 Up!" does little to establish the characters like the previous 2 installments have done. As interesting as it is, it is depressing. Like watching a train wreck, we stand in awe of seeing several people coming to the realization that their life won't be what they had imagined when they were 7.

Elliott B (us) wrote: A long epic western in the style and mold of John Fords earlier and better "Iron Horse," with a standard love triangle thrown in. History is treated with the showmanship and scale typical of Cecil B. Demille. Over the top, but all things considered still good.
Shaun B (gb) wrote: Campy fun B-movie horror flick that has Vincent Price reprising his role from the earlier and much superior film, THE ABOMINABLE DR. PHIBES. Here we have broad swashes of silly banter that actually works very well at times and the deaths are inventive and interesting but not as well thought out as in the first movie. In the end it's a minor cult classic that's a worthy watch if you especially enjoy 1970s Vincent Price or shit like watching a man "talk" through an amp hooked up to a tuba. Whatever floats your boat.

Of course there is the fascinating storyline, action, drama and all the beautiful people, but there is so much more to love. The characters are thought provoking and layered. But be forwarded young girls, there are no Edwards in real life. Edward is a supernatural character that no mere mortal will ever live up to so hope girls don't have unrealistic expectations. I actually fell in love with the movie because it deepened my Christian walk. Reminded me in a fresh and unexpected way of my Saviors love for me; He provides, protects, lives eternally and never sleeps nor slumbers but watches over us. Like I said, touched me on a spiritual level.
