(es) wrote: A film around a poem of the past, a town after which the poem was named and a fictional poet who drives a bus. It shows ordinary life in detail and with kindness. It is touching and heartening, absolutely wonderful.
(ag) wrote: Shittiest movie Iv seen in my whole life worse than Tales of Tales. The entire movie is one really big climax but when you reach the end all of that excitement turns to Pure DISSAPOINTMENT. Storyline was interesting movie was not executed well. I Hate It.
(kr) wrote: Oh my heck! Like it wasn't bad enough in real life, now they've got to put it on the big screen...wonder if there'll be a 3-D version...
(gb) wrote: A Serious Man is so weird and full of characters that are meant to be despised yet the Coen brothers and Deakins handle the film with such grand subtlety that it is almost impossible to turn away from.
(kr) wrote: The best made for TV movie of an existing TV series I've seen.
(ru) wrote: I saw half of it on TV, and I NEED to see the rest. Admittedly, the special effects were lacking, but the story was really good I thought. Mmmm, Physical Science class has taken its toll on me, hasn't it.
(au) wrote: it was fly good to watch but... you can't (I don't think anyways) watch it on this app
(it) wrote: People are always claiming that their film has a "the most realistic depiction" of the slums of whatever place that you'll ever see. Only City of God has the right to make that claim. This movie shook me to my very core with every scene and the heartbreaking realization that many of the victims of this type of warfare are people who were simply in the wrong place at the right time. Unlike other movies of this genre, City of God never adds a layer of paint to make it prettier or more appealing to wider audiences. It's honest to itself and the viewer to a fault.

(fr) wrote: Easily the most accurate filmed version of Dracula, despite the rather awful made-for-TV production values. The reason is simple: it not only tries to stay true to the novel, but takes the time to flesh out the characters and advance the plot. Sadly it looks exactly how you might expect an old BBC show to look.
(ru) wrote: Ed Wood, Jr. how I despise you right now. This is watchable for only two reasons, 1) you're wasted and with friends (or alone, wasted and nothing to do or see) and 2) it's Bela Lugosi's final film appearance. Bela Lugosi is the only decent actor here and the "monster" is an octopus that Wood had to steal from an abandoned set from a prior John Wayne movie. Good thing Wood's lackeys were as stupid as he (they forgot to steal the motor that could help make the thing look less like a giant blob of plastic). I was going to give an "otherwise" we'd have lost some form of entertainment value in this sentence but then I realized that the 1hr.9min. running time still couldn't keep Ed from such sloppy direction that you become BORED of his incompetence. I even tried to view this from the standpoint of a less film savvy 1950s audience, but really...this is just effing terrible. If you must see any of this clown's movies I suggest you stick with GLEN OR GLENDA or PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE. This is strictly for those who love to throw MST3K parties while watching otherwise unwatchable dreck.

(au) wrote: The story is the weak link in what is otherwise a marvellously fun chain. Unfortunately, when it comes to the film industry, the plot-link is kind of the most important one, so I can't really call Judge Dredd a success. And although the general premise is strong, this is not to the credit of the movie, seeing as it sources its material from the comic books of the same name, and 2000 AD.Sylvester Stallone (the titular Dredd) and Rob Schneider (his offsider) are perhaps poor casting options. But they aren't so terrible as to make Judge Dredd unwatchable, especially seeing as there are a quite a few good choices to balance this out.Despite being made in '95, it shares that intrinsically 1980's vision of a dystopian future, where all the buildings are black, all the signs are neon, and all the residents are androgynous punks and goths. Which to be honest I'm a huge sucker for, so this earns Judge Dredd some points (though again, not for originality). It's perhaps not the sort of description you'd expect of a violence-heavy, guilty-pleasure dodgy sci-fi, but Judge Dredd is just so cute! The ABC Warrior I have a particular soft spot for, but even overall, the piece is enjoyable to not take seriously (though taking it seriously is probably impossible).Yes it's true that Judge Dredd is enjoyable in a laughing at it kind of way rather than a laughing with it one, but that's still enjoyable in my books.61%-Gimly
(de) wrote: Just as good as the others, Maybe more action oriented than anything as there's very little plot and what story there was is very predictable, But it has some great gory action scenes as we expect in a Underworld movie, The effects were good most of the time, I can't comment on the 3D as I watched the 2D version, It won't be winning any new viewers over but fans of the older entries will love it just as much, Let's hope they don't get too silly with things as it has set itself up for a fifth movie and Keeping things fresh and interesting may prove harder.
