Hassan I (nl) wrote: Inspiring, heartwarming and educational, "Hidden Figures" is a wonderful film that celebrates the lives of women who changed history. The historical drama sheds light on the struggles faced by African-Americans during the 1960's. Through powerful performances from it's three leads, sharp writing and believable situations, the film captures a divisive time in American history. In terms of acting, all three actresses are a joy to watch. Taraji P. Henson is a particular standout, conveying the struggles faced by African-American women during the time. Although these actresses are a joy to watch, "Hidden Figures" is a little longer than necessary. Despite it's long running time, "Hidden Figures" is a crowd-pleasing film that sheds light on an important time in history. It is one of those rare films that teaches us to be open-minded and accepting of each other, regardless of color or race.

People seem to forget how difficult it is to admit your own mistakes as well as truly accept the sincere apology of another. But in what kind of situation would make the act of forgiving someone totally irrational? The Oscar-winning Danish film, "Haevnen" (In a Better World), explores these ideas about as thorough as any film I have ever seen. It's also one heck of a thriller.

This gorgeously filmed journey of a bird's annual flight was meticulously brought to life by directors Perrin, Debats and Cluzaud. This certainly helped lead the way for docs like Earth and March of the Penguins. This is a tremendous film to be seen in a theatre.

Jens L (de) wrote: Fresh approach on a stale genre...definitely no great movie but fun watching mainly because of the odd usual with this kind of movies far better than what the critics say...and well...the audience can't be helped anyway...if the makers had dared a little bit more than just doing a revenge movie my rating would have been more favorable
