Timothy P (kr) wrote: A very well put together movie filled with lots of action and Kung fu. One of the biggest accomplishments was how ip man is shown to still be gentle and noble no matter what

Nate T (de) wrote: Another well done adaption of a Nicholas Sparks novel...

Brett D (jp) wrote: Its good points are the amazing acting by Slater, the non-formulaic plot and the theme that meaning and purpose are found through dependence, not independence. Aside from that the movie massacres its audience in the final twist, which is perhaps what its makers intended, but I'm not into nihilism.

Bill T (kr) wrote: A totally twisted, funny, sexy and awfully original that slipped beyond my radar when it came out, Preaching To The Perverted is about a young political aide looking to gain favors to the higher ups, so he agrees to go undercover and "expose" a S & M bawdy house operating in London. What follows is definitely sexy and hot and quite funny, as the actors all seem to have a great time. I actually LOVE movies like this (it does remind me of the movie "Paris, France') and I would highly reccomend this to anyone to see if they want their movies with an edge.

Douglas L (es) wrote: Body Bags is a Tales From the Crypt like film, which had some cool satire in the story presentation segments, however, all 3 stories were very weak in my eyes, just very uninteresting and boring for the most part. Only decent story was the baseball player and his eye.

Dawn K (us) wrote: A decent baseball movie [I LOVE baseball movies and have seen almost all of them out there. This was one of them that I had just never gotten around to] that makes fun of the game, while also paying reverence to it at the same time. Kevin Costner is brilliant in this and I remembered why I loved him as an actor. And Tim Robbins [who I am not a huge fan of] really shines in this as the dimwitted Nuke. The language was a huge turn-off for me [just the coarseness of it] and I almost turned it off because of that, but kept watching and was rewarded with one of the best movie endings I have seen in awhile. This was not the BEST baseball movie I have ever seen, but it was not the worst either.

Wade H (de) wrote: A completely different breed of horror and certainly overlooked. With Barker's charm of vision brings a unique look into the macabre and terror of a beaten down film that would have been a king in the 80s.

Hunter K (ru) wrote: The Wizard of Oz (1939) is easily considered one of the greatest films of all time; it is a part of nearly everyone's childhood, and any attempt to add to that legacy, especially in film, has always been met with scrutiny and criticism. While this prequel from Disney doesn't come close to the massive standard set by its predecessor, it is still a good time. Oz is now an almost completely CGI animated background, much like Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland (2010). Thankfully, the cast, especially star James Franco, is just as animated and help bring this exciting, sometimes touching story to life. You'll like it are an Oz fan, especially one waiting for a follow-up to Return to Oz (1985).
