The term "catastrophic was used several times in the docu as though this bright new world was going to be washed in pain and blood, an amageddon of some sort. I don't see anything coming out the other side of an "armageddon" other than a fascist mind control police state in the urban centers and a Mad Max post apocalypse hunting ground in the outback. So what? We pray to be saved by the alien light being space brother holograms? You new agers need to Google "Savitri Devi".

Brian G (fr) wrote: After seeing the third in this series at a local coffee shop, I ran out and tracked down a copy of this movie. I must say, it's rapidly become one of my all time favorites. The DVD I have is a Fox, digitally remastered version, which makes it look much better than the age of the film would suggest. There's really not much you can say about the plot here. Taoist priest fights vampires with magic spells and sticky rice. Can't go wrong. Unless you turn on the English dub, which re-writes the dialogue to such an incredible degree that it seems like a completely different, and less funny movie. Absolutely a must-see. The critical consensus seems to be the later movies weren't as good, but I still look forward to seeing them.
