Dan H (kr) wrote: One of the best horror films you can see. The characters are tight (They feel real). Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne and Ty Simpkins do great jobs. (I know I can't be the only one who noticed that the younger brother just disappeared a good deal into the film though.), the script is tight, the score is tight, and the ghosts/demons are tight. I haven't had a film give me this many constant chills in a very long time, it's also very scary (almost all of the scares are extremely effective. oh yes, i screamed quite a bit in this one....not a common occurrence). The world crafted here is intriguing and fun to get lost in, and the final few minutes definitely stay with you. Insidious is a fantastic, fun horror film that excels at most everything it sets out to do (plus Lin Shaye does a phenomenal job). Insidious is like walking through a really good haunted house. If you are a fan of horror films, then I would most definitely recommend this ooky little flick.FUN FACT: Joseph Bishara not only did the tight score for this flick, he also plays the evil red faced demon in the film as well (and nailed it!). VERY COOL.

Jared S (nl) wrote: A movie with few pretensions and even fewer merits. While not assuming the scope of a spaghetti western or action spectacular is surely virtuous, this film doesn't serve up much else other than subpar acting, including an early and unpolished Ricci performance.

John T (kr) wrote: This is about a girl who has sex with dead people. Pretty much I let my vhr run and tape a bunch of movies on IFC late night. They were all pretty f*cked up. That sad part is I don't really care that she slept with the dead bodies if the rest of the movie wasn't so long and drawn out and boring

His next adventure is helping an executive of the cyrez corporation. Her name is lee and she volunteers to go into cyrez and copy the plan for a new super weapon and then go to court and testify against them and now the people of cyrez are after her and want her dead and they also want the copy of the disc that she has to testify against them.Kruger must keep her alive so she can testify. This is an effects filled action packed movie that is is very exciting. Arnold Schwarzenegger is awesome as always. In an action movie with him it seems you can never go wrong. I must admit politically I couldn't agree with the man but in the movies especially ones with a high caliber of action like this I really enjoy watching him. Vanessa Williams was great and James caan was terrific as his role as a villain. It has great action from start to finish and keeps you excited And wanting more. You couldn't ask for anything else in an action movie.

David A (de) wrote: (from The Watermark, 10/19/06) This 1955 Technicolor treat is your typical musical fare: two sisters from Ohio, a writer and an actress (Betty Garrett and Janet Leigh), arrive in New York City seeking their fame and fortune. They take up residence in Greenwich Village amongst a colorful array of artistic characters, and we get to enjoy their misadventures on the way to love and employment. The well-rounded cast also includes the questionable musical talents of Jack Lemmon and Dick York, plus the incredible Tommy Rall. Behind the camera, the film has a lighthearted yet sassy screenplay co-written by Blake Edwards (The Pink Panther, Victor/Victoria), a tuneful score by Jule Styne (Gypsy, Funny Girl), and clever lyrics by Leo Robin (Gentlemen Prefer Blondes). The real up-and-comer to watch, though, is Bob Fosse. As both choreographer for the film and Eileen's love interest, he adds his unconventional touch to the musical numbers and clearly shows signs of the dance genius he would become. A dance-duel performed by him and Rall is superb in its technical precision, expression in movement, and complete absence of underlying homoeroticism. If you like your musicals bubbling with idealism and innocence bordering on navet, you'll like this one. (FYI, if you're scratching your head thinking this sounds an awful lot like Leonard Bernstein's 1953 Broadway show Wonderful Town, keep scratching. It's a different musical based on the same material. Anybody out there know why two versions were made?)

Jill R (de) wrote: Classic revenge story with an amazing plot and well execution this movie didn't deserve the flack it got while it has terrific performances sure the ending sucked that's the one of the things I found wrong with this movie a terrific movie but it was ridiculous but still extremely entertaining a must see Grade B+

He knows what a jerk the teacher is and wants to break them up. Sean William Scott and billy bob Thornton worked together well and were really funny. Thornton plays the role as a jerk really well and at the same time comes off at times pretty humorous. Susan Sarandon was another bonus because I think she is a very talented actress. This is a very funny and entertaining comedy.
