Krista B (it) wrote: A surprisingly enjoyable movie. Of course, Living Death isn't any sort of masterpiece, but the story and gore are quite enjoyable and make for a competent revenge flick. The only major flaw I found was the decision to paint Victor as a villain and Elizabeth as a sympathetic victim of circumstance, when the film's story and portrayal of its characters has carefully lead us to feel the opposite way. Still, it's a decent movie, and it certainly wouldn't hurt to take a look.

Ryan H (mx) wrote: It may not live up to expectations or the high bars set by each franchise's original film, but Freddy vs Jason is still a satisfyingly and brutally entertaining crossover. The opening successfully draws from the set ups in Jason Goes to Hell and Freddy Goes to Hell, the build up is reasonably paced, and the climactic fight is one of the best horror movie showdowns ever put to film.
Nathan C (ca) wrote: It's alright (not as unbearable as most made-for-TV tearjerkers), but as with 95% of the time, the book was much better. It still has the humor and emotion that was essential to the book, and the two leads (especially Jack Lemmon) deliver great performances. Whereas the book made for cliche-free reading that had room for philosophy at the table, Oprah took it, added in the cliches, and sugar-coated it with oversentimentality, dumbing it down and thus diminishing the effect. I don't usually cry to movies, but I more feel them. This one, I can hardly feel a thing. Does that make me a sociopathic bastard in the eyes of the 86% who liked it? But, I acknowledge that it's better than your usual melodrama.

Jason R (us) wrote: Not Redford's best but hes a great actor so anything he's in is gonna be good. Debra Winger and Daryl Hannah are really good in this as well, not to mention very sexy. Not the best movie, but a pretty good comedy/romance nonetheless.

Wellington O (gb) wrote: Sadly is a forgotten movie now, but Marie Dressler performance in this movie deserved attention forever. At a time when actress acted so stagey and melodramatic on the screen, Marie came up with a natural performance and bad mood expression that fits so well to this strong woman, Min. The final scene, that look in her face that mix fatigue and winning feeling is priceless. So modern.
