Ronald P (nl) wrote: I absolutely loved this film. I laughed and even felt the emotion as the movie showed the challenges of various African-American peers as they struggled through the ups and downs of the single and married life in the thirties. This is a great drama, romance, and comedy film. It's worth checking out! :)

Barbara H (ca) wrote: I just hated this film! ARGH! A good portion is filled with sex scenes which would keep viewers from thinking too much about the non-existent plot. As a film where two people from separate relationships come together to have sex, you would probably expect a bit of back-story to establish it as cheating. But it virtually started out with unfaithfulness as a premise, thus making the cheating emotionally empty - why would they be so worked up about it then? And then there's the "love" that apparently developed between the two leads. It really seemed nothing close to it, as they rarely conversed and mostly just "got together." So maybe I'm wrong about it. As a drama, it really really sucked. As erotica (for a lesbian audience), I guess it would be quite passable.

Vincent D (gb) wrote: I have to say that I did not like this film much at all. The characters aren't very interesting, the premise makes no sense, and the cinematography thinks slow-mo during death scenes is frightening. The biggest problem I have, the one niggling doubt I had through this whole entire film, was the big question: Why were they in this house to begin with?Yes, according to the plot, it was because they were part of a webcam series, based on subscription fees and ads, or at least that's what they were "told". Told how? Were they contacted randomly through e-mail or phone calls? Was it friend of a friend communication? Regardless, it isn't until halfway through the film do they realize that they can't even find the site through search engines, leading me to wonder what their response was to begin with. "Oh, I can stay in a big house, and so long as none of us leaves, we all get a million dollars each? Sounds cool to me, I won't even bother looking up what site this is and who's doing this!" Not to mention they make special note that cameras are all over the house, including the bedrooms and bathrooms, meaning literally no privacy in the slightest, and it shouldn't take one long to figure out something's fishy. The plot twists are pretty much predictable if you're even a slight veteran of the horror film genre, and even that might be giving it too much credit; I'm fairly certain a working brain and trying to figure out the twists would do the job. Only one character out of the whole thing has any sort of development, and let's just say that doesn't really go anywhere.Overall, not worth the view, unless you're on a spree to see every horror film ever.

Tanner B (kr) wrote: Pretty Woman (1990) ??D: Garry Marshall. Richard Gere, Julia Roberts, Jason Alexander, Ralph Bellamy. Intentionally old-fashioned movie only sort of works. Rich executive Gere meets fille de joie Roberts and, you know what happens next. Familiar story is fun for about an hour . . . but it's just soo formula that it does begin to get trivial-and tiring. Cast helps.

Robert A (es) wrote: A nice little animated adventure into dreams based on the turn of the 20th century comic strip Little Nemo in Slumberland. I've played the NES game for years but hadn't seen the movie. Finally just watched it and it's very cute and lovely to look at.

Daniel Y (ag) wrote: Cars is a visually dazzling Pixar movie that has a bit more meaning in the visuals than style and overall story. But, don't let that fool you, because it still packs a big enough punch that is able to work even if some of it's comedy doesn't work and is forced at some moments and moments in general and characters, more towards Mater since he is voiced by Larry the Cable Guy but luckily they have some heart felt stuff for him to say that makes it work just enough to the point where you can either tolerate him or like him, depenfing on what type of person you are. But, all in all Cars is an enjoyable movie.
