Jareth S (gb) wrote: I love this silly movie even more than My Sassy Girl, which is also about a tough girl who bullies a guy. The story here is a bit similar to the Hollywood film The Housesitter, but with much better results. An recently-paroled ex-convict woman rescues the engagement ring of a fellow train passenger from a pickpocket and misses the train, losing her luggage in the process. When she tries to return the ring to his family, they mistake her for the fiancee and hilarity ensues as she plays the role to avoid complications with the cops and makes the man pay for his mistreatment of her, turning his family against him with elaborate manufactured stories, and of course eventually falling for him in the process (that's not a spoiler in a rom-com). The wonderful Kim Ha-neul really shines in this S.Korean comedy, one of the best rom-coms they've ever made.

Drew H (au) wrote: A great effort on the book, the cast is excellent but unfortunately this is a made for TV movie and there for didn't really have the set of balls needed to deal with this in the right way, having read the book, it was a fuck load worse for the boys of Bravo Two Zero than this film makes out. That said it is probably the best made for TV movie since Duel.

I loved the innocence of Mark Rylance's and KS Thomas's characters' friendship. And I loved the way Rylance's character spoke: respectfully, intelligently, and very prettily! :)

The sheriff was handpicked and turns a blind eye to the NYPD until one of the police officer's lives is at risk. When the internal affairs department turns their back on him, the sheriff will have to take matters into his own hands. "In for a penny in for a pound."James Mangold, director of Walk the Line; Identity; Girl, Interrupter; 3:10 to Yuma; The Wolverine; Kate and Leopold; Heavy; and the upcoming Seducing Ingrid Bergman, delivers Cop Land. The storyline for this picture has some real interesting subplots mixed into the primary storyline and reminded me of a poor man's Heat. The cast delivers very solid performances and includes Sylvestor Stallone, Robert De Niro, Ray Liotta, Michael Rapaport, Harvey Keitel, Robert Patrick, Janeane Garofalo, and Peter Berg."I can't hear you."I always really liked this movie and thought it was a bit underrated. I recently came across this on Netflix and decided to watch it again for the first time in a long time...I still thoroughly enjoyed this. This may be a hair step down from Heat, but just a hair (both are not as good as the Town). Nevertheless, I strongly recommend seeing this once."If he doesn't like my garbage then he should stop soiling my sheets."Grade: B
Gavin P (fr) wrote: Huge Western, following multiple characters over different periods of their lives - but I like the way most of the 3-4 sections are somehow linked. As a Western in the 60's, I fell like it needed more John Wayne! It's long, but there's about 15min of prelude music & intermission and the 3-camera-split-screen is sometimes obvious & annoying, but mostly unnoticeable. Some great set-pieces - the buffalo stampede, the rapids, the literal Cowboys vs Indians... Definitely one of the more enjoyable Westerns.
