Aaron B (br) wrote: Urgh this movie was absolute garbage! The plot was crap, the acting is horrible, the budget looked like 3 and the plot twist and ending are god fucking awful. They put in Kurt Angle as this protagonist and made him do barely anything in the movie! all he did was attempt to shoot, stab Nash in the arm and tried to hang Nash and that was it! Plus he wasn't even the one that saved the day it was some bitch of a paranormal researcher that killed the guy, what a fucking load! Plus why oh why would you cast Kurt Angle IN A FUCKING HORROR MOVIE!!! That's like putting Eddie Izzard in a romance film or Bruce Campbell in a kids movie.

brendan n (de) wrote: i found this quite funny and very full on. some of the jokes are a bit stale but how this got such bad reviews is beneath me. the kids are given such bad treatment i'm shocked as to how parents would allow kids to be in these types of movies. clever use of cast with some quirky writing kept me watching until the very end. not a classic but far from a waste of time

Thomas P (it) wrote: Earnest acting and beautiful cinematography could not save this sweet but odd and clumsy plot - a lonely, adopted boy searches for his estranged parents by wandering around the city. Weird.I was interested in the story, but lost interest bc of the silliness, lack of plot, and the cliches. By the time Robin Williams showed up, I was done. I was watching only to "see how it ends"- not a good enough reason to recommend a movie. Ever. A good-hearted attempt at an emotional story where you'll either feel the strings tugging on your heart and be touched, or you'll be annoyed at the attempted manipulation. That said, it's a typical, meandering Lifetime Channel story. You'll love it or you'll roll your eyes.I liked it initially - until I realized it wasn't trying to go deeper, but rather toy with the idea of an adopted boy living a fantasy in the city, and not much more.

Robert S (fr) wrote: It feels like it could be a lot funnier in the right hands, but I just love the concept so much, I couldn't help but enjoy this one.I love road trip movies. I love stories about the bonds between old friends. And I love AC/DC. Not life changing, or even a great movie, but recommended for at least a viewing.

Manny C (gb) wrote: Weepy and melodramatic? No doubt. Over the top? Dangerously close, but hey it was 1937. What really matters in this classic is the performance from Barbara Stanwyck, all vitality and grace. One of her best screen efforts.

Private U (de) wrote: Pitiful acting. Very cool soundtrack for background Christmas music at home for the Holidays.

Paul D (fr) wrote: Towards slapstick in approach it full of silliness throughout. The two leads offer some interest value and work well enough together but this is not a classic.
