Dylan D (mx) wrote: The Smurfs 2 may be a cute, cuddly movie, but it lacks the novelty, charm, and flow of its predecessor. The film exceeds its boundaries, attempting to put together a slightly deeper experience than is required. The result is a movie that's occasionally too slow, too absent the whimsy and sheer fun factor of the original. Hank Azaria is again the best reason to watch, and he's only improved on his comically deviant villain Gargamel. The Smurfs show little personality, even in the confines of their specific essences, and even highlight character Smurfette can't escape the clutches of a very generic arc. It's a decent sequel but it's nowhere near as much fun as the original.

Eric H (it) wrote: You've got to love Christopher Walken. The rest of the cast of "Suicide Kings" might not sound familiar (Dennis Leary has a cool part) but they are good and believable. This film seems a bit slow now that I've watched it four or five times, but the plot is good and the suspense is put together very well. There are funny scenes, a couple weird scenes, but overall Suicide Kings is a really entertaining and suspenseful story with some smart twists that will keep viewers guessing.
Sylvester K (kr) wrote: A classic awkward comedy starring Ben Stiller as a father on a quest to find his biological parents with the help of an incompetent case worker, 2 gay BTA workers and his wife. It had some really hilarious moments and the cast were all great at playing their characters. I like the amateur look of the film that made it all the more realistic to put yourself in their shoes.

Christopher S (jp) wrote: Fast-paced noir thriller is the original 'lovers on the lam' story. Nicholas Ray's smart script and tight direction make the most of this B-picture. Farley Granger is a little soft as the troubled hero, but the rest of the cast is excellent, particularly Cathy O'Donnell. Maybe only a minor classic, but a must for film noir fans.
Lucas M (br) wrote: While its has a touch of charm, the annoying characters and the plot that magicly disappears make watching this renake all the more painful.
