Buggy B (au) wrote: Pretty good thriller, a bit of a slow-burn but filled with interesting twists and absorbing performances from (of course) Anthony Hopkins but also Ryan Gosling who does more than just look good here as a (cocky) attorney on his way up the career ladder who finds an unlikely opponent in the manipulative criminal he's trying to prosecute. Hopkins had a couple of awesome scenes in this, as he bumbles through representing himself in court and ultimately plays everyone. Also enjoyed Billy Burke as his wife's lover/ detective. 7/18/14

William M (fr) wrote: This one is a tv movie which stars Jennifer Love Hewitt as a woman who will do anything to rise up in the social standing, even clawing her way up the ladder to get what she wants. Jennifer Love Hewitt is beautiful as always with a great figure and she has great energy in this movie. And yes, she is a reason I watched this movie but hey, I enjoyed it. :) And Joseph Lawrence as a gay escort was kinda funny, even though he did look good too.Although she is mostly a liar and works in advertising where she seems to work from the seat of her pants at times to get things done, and usually done well, in the end, she comes to a point where the things really important to her are ruined by her lies and she comes clean, hoping to salvage those important things.Though this movie wouldn't appeal to everyone, I thought it good enough and funny at times to enjoy it. And yes, it does revolve mostly around the main character played by Jennifer Love Hewitt and it helps to like her in this one. :) Else, you'll think of her more as a bitch or liar or some of the fake women we see who are lost from reality. :)

Melanie M (es) wrote: I love this movie and maybe just because of the nostalgia factor but I cannot get over the classic princess/prince fairytale aspect of it all.

Ryan M (kr) wrote: Samual L Jackson starring in a film noir with Stellan Skarsgard call me curious of this forgotten one, not to be confused with that other "no good deed"

Jerome P (es) wrote: Subtly witty, and thematically biting of office culture. Bravo to the filmmakers. Awesome job with $700k!

jake r (gb) wrote: this movie was a great dinosaur movie about a mad scientist ( diane ladd ) wanting to kill the human race by impregnating women with dinosaurs and when they grow up they kill everyone else while a construction worker wants to stop her from killing everyone so carnosaur is good old fashion fun with blood and gore and also it was made by roger corman

Justin T (gb) wrote: Not as good as the first film, in fact kills some of the whimsy established by the first movie.

Deb K (kr) wrote: The Acting in this movie wasn't great at all. And the special effects weren't all that great either. If you like Horror movies that end up being funny because they are more silly than scary, you would like this one!

Carl T (es) wrote: Harakiri is an excellent samurai film with emotional storytelling, profound themes, gorgeous cinematography and very engaging fight scenes

Scott P (nl) wrote: A magic conjunction of acting, writing, cinematography, and direction.

Wendy D (jp) wrote: A lot of reviews refer to this as a horror movie. I think those folks missed the point. I would characterize it as social commentary regarding humankind's insatiable drive to conquer and consume. Thanks to the delicious and outrageously talented lead men, the film has a dark homoerotic quality that subtly stirs up ones senses, which might make some more uncomfortable than does the cannibalism.
