I can see why they thought God would oppose shame, seeing as some of it is so shameless. Turning God into a new age scold. Could've been great with Capra directing it. The universalist theological brow-beating is cringeworthy. The message at the end is kid of nice.

Campbell P (jp) wrote: I thought this would be a huge and really good horror film. It was huge but not as good as I thought it would be. First of all Chloe Grace Moretz is way too cute to be a social outcast but they did a pretty good job making her one. And the movie went by too quick in my opinion! I was hoping for like a half hour more of something! The bullying was plain cruel and whoever was like the bully in the movie in real life is really stupid and senseless and I doubt anyone would go that far in real life. It overall just wasn't my kind of horror flick. C-

Stefan G (it) wrote: I can understand an actor wanting to expand his range. In fact, this can do wonders for not just an actor's career, but his or her skill on screen. For me, however, this film proves that Schwarzenegger is better at action films. Not that this is a bad movie. In fact, it's a film that actually shows a lot of potential as a comedy film. The story is a decent change of pace, but at the very first part, it seems not to make sense, not until we transition to the suburban setting. The main premise is rather silly and hard to believe, but the writing is solid, and the film builds up to a somewhat well-executed conclusion. The characters are alright, and their played quite well, although this is one of those films where Arnie steals pretty much all the limelight, which is rightfully so because he outperforms everyone else. Overall, this film was competent at both action and comedy, with a healthy dose of action, plenty of balanced humour (meaning that it isn't just a machine gun comedy film). It's not a bad film, but it's not as good as it could have been, but that doesn't make it irredeemable. In fact, if you've got nothing else, you could at least watch this, and it wouldn't be so bad.
