The Other F Word

The Other F Word

What happens when a generation's ultimate anti-authoritarians — punk rockers — become society's ultimate authorities — dad's? With a large chorus of Punk Rock's leading men — Blink-182's Mark Hoppus, Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea, Rise Against's Tim McIlrath — The Other F Word follows Jim Lindberg, 20-year veteran of skate punk band, Pennywise, on his hysterical and moving journey from belting his band's anthem, 'Fuck Authority', to embracing his ultimately pivotal authoritarian role in mid-life, fatherhood.

Anson L (es) wrote: Nothing like a good b-grade thriller.Yes you can predict every twist and turn - but a good cast makes it a rather fun ride.

Eric S (us) wrote: Great film..always have liked Furlong and would love to see him in more films. Tim Roth was brilliant as was to be expected. Doesn't sugar coat anything. Honest and raw.

Justin A (nl) wrote: A simple and stylish (at times) slasher that had the makings of something great, but fell short thanks to being much slower and unoriginal than it needed to be. The ice skating sequence and the ending chase scene are pretty good, high tension scenes that the movie needed much more of. The first forty minutes is just a bunch of false scares one after the other. The mid portion of the movie is a bit more interesting, but the extended dialogue sequences drag it down. I just never felt I got to know the characters well enough to care about what they had to say or if they lived or died. Of all the actresses who get murdered one after the other, the only one I felt I got some insight into was the ice skater (who is killed off early). It's worth checking out for slasher fans, but a slight disappointment nonetheless.

Tony M (mx) wrote: Potentially influencing #Darkcity and #TheMatrix, Mindwarp will transport you to an alternate reality in the post-apocalyptic future. Picture an amalgamation of the #Wachowski's classic with #MadMax having the television production values of #Firefly and #StarTrekDeepSpaceNine and you'll get Mindwarp. This film turned out to be much better than expected and comes recommended.3/5

John H (gb) wrote: Watched this again last night fast forwarding through the murder of Abel, Abraham and Isaac scenes and a few others. So many great lines and big laughs that it is climbing up there on my high comedy hit parade. It is just that the lows were awfully low and last half lags but knowing that gives the rest of it life.
