Karl Edgar T (ru) wrote: how can u not appreciate a product that could actually represent human kind as a proper movie

Dave P (ag) wrote: Terrible - not credible that a trained agent would not use his time on 911 to provide key information (like a crime scene where a man and a dog were shot which he failed to mention to a dispatcher who was trying to locate him)

Adithya S (jp) wrote: I gave it an eighty percent only for Santosh Sivan's stunning cinematography and A.R. Rahman's wonderful background score and songs.

Alan W (au) wrote: For Hong Kong Cinema, this is a rare underplayed and subtle outing. Basically using a very old and traditional story line that wouldnt be out of place in a HK film of the 60s (in which the film is set), they have remade it with one eye on the modern (and nostalgic) audience in mind but without the cynicism and most of the sentiments intact. The result is sweet and charming, sentimental and maybe even manipulative, but nevertheless, it works impressively, capturing the mood of the times with abundant details that might reward repeated viewing. And for an old boy of DBS, the rather famous and reputable secondary school that features prominently in the film, it resonates even more for me (hence the elevation from a solid 3 and a half to 4) and it is therefore a joy to discover this on the inflight entertainment on my way back home after a visit in HK. Strongly recommended especially for all old boys overseas who have missed this earlier the year and are reading about this for the first time here.

Trey W (de) wrote: Conceited pretentious crap which takes itself far too seriously. Even more so than Costners other crap movie 'Waterworld'. After these two stinking turds, it strangely became very hard for Costner to find funding for his movies...

Bruno L (ca) wrote: It was fun. Good story of how CNN lucked out and was able to report as Baghdad was being bombed. Not great, but entertaining. The chemistry between Keaton and Bonham Carter was great.

Peter S (au) wrote: Gas mileage is fine, but keep in mind - the first question every car buyer asks themselves is 'Will this car get me laid?' Perfect John Goodman, and Rock 'n' Roll.

Frederic S (it) wrote: Hilarant, les personnages sont plausibles et tres amusants. Des reconstitutions historiques tel que Zemeckis refera plus tard, en particulier dans Forrest Gump.

Erica J (ag) wrote: Found this pretty boring, the whole film is pretty much the woman in a room!

Gabriel J (br) wrote: Kevin Smith shows us content is the key to creating an excellent film over quality, through a modest budget. With an amazing cast and 'down to earth' dialogue he captures a hilarious movie that deserves to be my #1 Comedy choice.

Paul D (fr) wrote: As nice as it was to see Sean Connery return for an "unofficial" Bond film, it still didn't help hide the fact that watching paint dry is more entertaining! Too many of these 80's Bond movies have horrible scripts! At least Kim Basinger was smoking hot in this.

Jessica H (jp) wrote: I like it,but at the same time this film fails to live up to the best of it's ability with a dream team.

Vadim D (jp) wrote: It's based on a play, so the film is not particularly fast paced, but this is as rewarding as cinema can get in its performances, screenwriting, and directing. Mike Nichols is able to extract probably Elizabeth Taylor's best performance of all time. The script is engaging, controversial, and just demands your attention. This is just a lesson in acting from the cast.
