The Saratov Approach
An inspirational true story. On what seemed like any other day, Elders Travis Tuttle (Corbin Allred) and Andrew Propst (Maclain Nelson) are approached by Nikolai (Nikita Bogolyubov) to teach a friend. But then the missionaries experience the unimaginable - they are kidnapped, beaten, and held for ransom. While their families, friends, and the world pray for their safe release, Tuttle and Propst are tested physically, emotionally, and most of all spiritually.

The storyline for this picture is fairly cheesy and disappointing. There are some worthwhile fights sprinkled in here and there but the acting and dialogue are fairly mediocre. The cast includes Jackie Chan, David Torok, Laura Weissbecker, and Alaa Safi."Bite me? Lie down! Be good! Stay good! Be gone!"I came across this on Netflix and decided to give it a shot. (it) wrote: An average entertainer put out by KJo. Story of what happens to two couples after marriage. The story loses it's touch at times, but, still manages to keep you in for the 3 hours and 13 minutes it lasts. Considering the story, KJo handles the subject very maturely and sensitively. Hats off to KJo.Performance-wise, Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan are the stars amongst the males w/ Abhishek Bachchan just following. The ladies...I liked Rani Mukherjee's performance more probably because the character was so well-written...Definitely a one-time watch. For people who have been through divorces, this is multi-time watch! Go watch, but, don't get expectations TOO high as the story's second half loses its touch until near the climax scenes! Good movie nevertheless!

(gb) wrote: This is how to make a perfectly average film. It starts out with a funny joke but the whole movie is a lot more sentimental rather the funny. This is not a comedy. Melissa had like what, one laugh? Why was Naomi needed to play that role (that being said, she plays the Russian/Easter. European splendidly)? Good family movie but really not a good comedy.
(au) wrote: A thoroughly ridiculous and absolutely hilarious satire of Hollwood's vapid tendencies and the misogynostic stereotypes that women have had to endure in countless "women's pictures" over the years, Death Becomes Her remains a staple in the gay community for good reason; you'd be hard pressed to find a campier film that doesn't completely collapse in on itself.Note: It also contains one of Meryl Streep's best performances, which is obviously a weighty claim given her career. The woman can really do it all.
