Todd (mx) wrote: Fairly decent acting but very weak story. It just doesn't make sense. Very confusing. Promising start- from being a bank heist movie but then for some reason it turns into a movie about tracking down a serial killer...

Kenneth L (es) wrote: Sense & feel of real authenticity. Though the concluding op & getaway seemed a little preposterous upon reflection.

Phillip S (gb) wrote: A quietly searing portrayal of being an overweight adolescent in both the shadow and sunshine of another and their emerging sexuality. Unwavering from beginning to end. Fans of Todd Solondz's will find themselves right at home.

Ali S (ca) wrote: This was a horrible movie. I was surprised because I've come to love Soderbergh's flicks. However, most of these ensemble cast movies do end up being less than stellar. It felt like the filmaker was trying to be edgy but failed miserably and instead ended up offering us a boring, convuluted story with characters that you don't care about.

Dominic Martin A (ru) wrote: Music & Lyrics is basically a light-hearted popcorn musical romcom for the couple looking to kill some time. The real charm of the movie is in the lead's chemistry, with Grant and Barrymore delivering a cute believable couple brought together by a seemingly convenient turn of events. There is nothing special about the plot, as it is shallow and predictable, as intended by the director. The movie also shows hilarious skits that parody the music videos of old. You immediately know where the movie is going from the start, but nonetheless it proves itself entertaining.

Ken C (jp) wrote: A passion project by Terence Davies in the wake of The House of Mirth (2000), set at Aberdeenshire in the run-up to the great war center around Chris Guthrie (Agyness Deyn) as the daughter, a quiet but determined survivor whom she searches for her independence against the odds of a patriarchal society. The cinematography by Michael McDonough is a fantastic mix of digital for the interior and 70mm (captures more richness of the environment) film for the exterior that he managed to create a world from the story about the enduring land of its character relationship with the land, a sense of ravishment and cruelty yet a beauty.

Maxx D (de) wrote: As a fan of (some of) Rooster Teeth's content online I figured I'd give this a go even though the trailers were a bit weak. I enjoyed it, but it's not anything we haven't all seen 100 times before. As an existing RT fan it was a fun hour and a half but I'd imagine it wouldn't sit too well with non RT fans as it is very clique-y at times.
