(fr) wrote: This had good reviews? It's talented actors at their worst, with horrible direction. This film is as exciting as watching JGL riding a bike...which is exactly what it is.
(mx) wrote: It's nothing new but The Conjuring is down right terrifying! There were very good moments of suspense and overall brings the chiche haunted house film to a high standard. James Wan knows what the horror genre is all about and he gives us some fantastic new scares to add to our collection to our nightmares and that's more than what we are use to getting from a horror movie at this time.
(mx) wrote: Although Get Low isn't a bad movie, it's a very story heavy film, which sadly fails to stay that way. In various scenes, the comedy and suspense seems almost pushed, and even if it does work, that story telling potential is lessened the more it does this. By the end, it feels like you traveled an occasionally bumpy road when you would have preferred a smooth journey.

(mx) wrote: A blood soaked, mute teenage boy shows up at a soon to be abandoned small-town police station. Sporting an interesting set of fingerprints, he turns out to be a vessel of violent crimes commited within the area. Twisted, scary chiller, shot on a shoestring but makes up for the miniscule budget with originality, using its ultra low indie production values to full advantge. Nothing is quite what it seems to be, though it's hard to believe that a pocket-sized community like this one could produce that many perps.
(mx) wrote: This is a great angsty little indy film and that's good enough, but the reason I think everyone should see it is to see Quentin Tarantino's diatribe on "Top Gun" and the homoerotic subtext therein. It is priceless!
