This is truly a sweet love story with a unique plot. People only dislike this movie because they are missing true love in their lives.

It is a classic WWII adventure. Richard Burton & Clint Eastwood are at the top of their craft, and the action is non-stop. A near perfect movie experience for fans of this genre.
(nl) wrote: So many people complain about the ending of this brilliant movie. It's about two crazy people who are madly in love and nothing can keep them apart. Robin's character remarries only because, well shit happens and sometimes you do things that you sort of regret later. Deep inside everyone wants to get away from family, friends and a husband/wife from time to time especially if it's with someone you don't really love and that's what Robin's character does. The cast is amazing, Sean Penn, Robin Wright Penn, James Gandolfini, and John Travolta, woohoo!
