Cornelius P (mx) wrote: Quirky and bizzarre, this romantic comedy illustrates the immense connections we make to characters who develop and the underlying need to spread round characters throughout the script. Without much depth, the film loses its audiences in moments of ill-placed awkwardness, but the oddly relatable protagonist leaves us content in the end.

Giorgio P (br) wrote: Im a fan of Tom Cruise. But this movie is just him and a bunch of characters shouting dialogue with no subtlety. No one just shuts the fuck up for one minute. There was honestly not one point in the story i cared about what was happening. And thats a serious problem for a film that has no visual style, dialogue which just doesnt have anything compelling and almost a two and a half hour running time. Oh yeh, and it was nominated for best picture.

Jenna I (gb) wrote: Who is this movie for? You've got Elvis, okay, sure, but then you've got bikini clad women running around a dude ranch, mixed with violent kidnappers after a treasure-hunt plot a seven year old could have thought up but with just enough haunted house material to scar you if you actually are a child viewer. Elvis is basically a predator in this one, bad come ons and more awkward spanking scenes. Also- why the hell is this movie named "Tickle Me?!" I want answers.

Nancy R (ru) wrote: Although the production itself felt enticing and endearing, and Lili (Caron) connected as brilliantly to audiences in the film as out, thematically this film becomes entirely problematic when you consider that Paul Berthalet (Ferrer) was not just an "angry man," but verbally abusive and actually at one point strikes Lili.Although I dislike casting off a whole production for a single political flaw (like discarding *Heart of Darkness* for its colonialism), and I adored this film as a child and thought it overwhelmingly romantic, immature audiences can (did) learn a dangerous tolerance for domestic violence."Problematic" does not mean "bad," which is why I reserve judgment, but I certainly think we should watch this film conscientiously, and discuss it openly with children or teens.
