Roxanne R (mx) wrote: I thought it was good but a bit slow. I have to agree with two critics who explained the essence of this one so nicely in their review: "Old Joy may be built around a road trip, but it's also a movie about two roads -- and two souls -- diverging." "At just 76 minutes, Old Joy is a minimalist film, but illuminating, bittersweet, gentle and deeply alive." I simply love mountain scenery, nature and this one takes the viewer on a road trip around the Cascade mountain range and Bagby Hot Springs, east of Portland, Oregon. I would have to say that this is a movie about friendship, loss and alienation. Oh I want to visit Bagby Hot Springs in Portland Oregon and since I live in the West its only a matter of driving up north, super! This gem is on Netflix and I certainly understand why the critics liked it so much...So did I..Recommended!

Conner R (it) wrote: The cinematic counterpart to Heart and Souls; it's the other movie in which RDJ's body is taken over by restless ghouls. It's really funny and has a dynamite cast. The story is ridiculous at times, but i'm pretty sure that the intent of the movie was to play around with how bizarre ghost stories come off sometimes. When it want's to be, this has a great dramatic love story that spans over half a lifetime. The characters are believable as real people and their eventual conflict with RDJ having the soul of shooter MCGavin locked inside him.

Paul D (mx) wrote: While I think the title implies only a very small portion of the subject matter, this was still enjoyable. It may have been longer than it needed to be, but overall I found myself liking it more than I expected to.

Nicolas L (nl) wrote: A good fictionalized take on one of the first trials of the century. But I still find 'Rope' to be a much more probing and intriguing take on the subject.

Brad S (ru) wrote: - A fun and easy watch with beautiful scenery as it's set in Hawaii. Jason Segel had his first lead role with this and nails it, the supporting cast including Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Paul Rudd, Bill Hader, Jonah Hill and of course Russell Brand. Worth a watch.- An excellent little comedy, Mila Kunis pleasantly surprised me in this.

Matt L (br) wrote: Possibly the greatest movie ever. Seriously.

Russell S (fr) wrote: Smart, funny, creative, AWESOME! At times it feels as if there's almost too much going on but that's hardly a complaint, this is a great movie and the 3D version is effective here in drawing you in that little bit more.

Amy S (nl) wrote: Boring!! To much science fiction for me.

Tatsuhito K (jp) wrote: Charming, occasionally funny, hugely irritating (at least to me). My Best Friend's Wedding may be delightful at times, and if you are a fan of cliched romantic comedies, you will most likely love this film to death. Unfortunately, I don't and I found Julia Roberts character to be quite annoying. It's not a bad movie, it's just not my taste.
