The Taking Of Deborah Logan

The Taking Of Deborah Logan

What starts as a poignant medical documentary about Deborah Logan's descent into Alzheimer's disease and her daughter's struggles as caregiver degenerates into a maddening portrayal of dementia at its most frightening, as hair-raising events begin to plague the family and crew and an unspeakable malevolence threatens to tear the very fabric of sanity from them all.

Mia Medina (Ang) has finally found the perfect subject for her PhD thesis film on Alzheimer';s Disease. For the next several months, cameras will record the everyday life of mother Deborah Logan (Larson) and her daughter Sarah (Ramsay). But as the days progress, strange things begin to happen around Deborah that are not consistent with any findings about Alzheimer';s. It becomes apparent that there';s something besides Alzheimer';s that has taken control of Deborah';s life. It';s an evil that is far worse than the debilitating disease with which she was first diagnosed. . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

Grant H (br) wrote: Great movie. Because this is an animated project, the creators were able to tell this story properly, and did so with wonderful animation, style, and a talented voice cast that performed their characters well, especially McKenzie and Cranston.

Jonas H (ag) wrote: This movie was great, better than the second. Without the celebrity-ish cast, the voice actors, particularly Matt Taylor, were fantastic.

Ingela A (fr) wrote: The film doesn't use statistics or predictions to show the affects and causes of climate change, we're at the stage where it can just honestly show peoples' stories and the increasingly facile dilemmas of modern life to convey how we're walking into serious problems. It is really powerful, it's one of those rare moments where after the film ends you just stay silently frozen to your seat in awe. The lush graphics, the excellent acting by Pete and the reality of the stories makes this film, as clich as it is, totally unmissable. Those who don't like this film I can only conclude are just scared, scared that if they're wrong they will be catastrophically wrong and live in such a way selfish way in which they can only feel threatened by the change needed to be more climate considerate in their lives

William C (ag) wrote: Grade: 5/10Rambo III see's the return of John Rambo in his all action, all thrilling and all propaganda third instalment. The movie is to put it lightly, insane action, lot's of death, big guns and of course more of the style of fighting Rambo has previously showed us. Yes this movie is all out and not ashamed either, a movie I felt to be below par but yet felt surprised looking back how I actually didn't mind this much, well not too much. Now the plot is pretty thin and lacks enough depth to be well thought about at all, yet Stallone navigates us through this well and as mentioned not afraid to show us things we have seen before. He fights his way out of a complete mess, quite literally but in terms of the movie it avoids being an action catastrophe mostly from the crazy fighting and big explosions, because they make this so distinctly Rambo. The film is written badly by Stallone and Sheldon Lettich and directed much the same by Peter MacDonald and yet somehow that doesn't matter, well SO much anyway. The film relies on action, action, a little more action, oh and little bit of Richard Crenna to get by even though for me it doesn't necessarily get by a lot. It is I must stress not a good movie, just in my eyes not the worst ever, hard to connect with though in my opinion. Now the film definitely should please those who are already Rambo fans or those who just like action movies, it's over use of over the top action will work for some. It also never loses it touch and doesn't try to be something it isn't, doesn't try emotion, doesn't try love, it remains typically Rambo and makes this even more action movie that beforehand. I think also credit to Stallone for not giving in maybe to some other action films of the day which needed that romance, Rambo has had it before but in this he is on a mission and no person will stop him on his way.I also think this is the kind of movie that makes you think about what makes a truly great action movie, because this isn't it. It just feels too over crazy but not just that, kind of boring too for me, now although I liked it more than others who maybe disliked it, I didn't like it and I want to say that. It is under average at best and one movie that truly couldn't have been helped much, it is just what it is.So overall an action bowl of death everywhere, should please some but disgust others as well, and on that some pretty violent scenes are had so not for the kids. Also it is not well timed in two ways, the movie rushes itself along which isn't the worst thing but still it can seem Rambo doesn't think at all, he just does it without caution(or maybe that is the whole point of John Rambo). The second way is that the Soviet Union was becoming much more open at this time of the 80's and was starting to become more western friendly, this counters that in only a movie like this can, fighting and more fighting.

Robert A (jp) wrote: I started watching Inherent Vice and thought, "Wow! What a trip! I'm back in 1969. And then I remembered that it was a bad trip, a seedy grungy trip that deified drugged out lost souls as a kind of counterculture ramble...and that those times, though transitional, are best left behind. So is this self-indulgent, low energy non-compus mentis of a film. In the end, this overlong turkey should have been titled Incoherent Vice. it is just the kind of tripped out fustian that critics would like and audiences would hate. And that was exactly the case.
