Sally A (es) wrote: There is something both disturbing and hilarious about five grown men wearing linen suits and riding shetland ponies. This is really very amusing in parts but falls right down at the end - much better than I expected however. The songs are great.

Anna B (us) wrote: I think I was just in the right (bad) mood for a blast of total misanthropy. I found the ending weirdly cathartic for some reason. I probably shouldn't say that out loud.

Jerome B (ca) wrote: i like sandra oh in this movie; i just don't like the seeming anti climatic ending of the movie...i was expecting more, and yet, it just abruptly ended, and i was left to imagine what would happen to Jade now that she's decided to live on her own. I found the characterization of the boyfriend quite weak!

Steve B (gb) wrote: So few movies about Jazz so automatic five stars. It is a excellent movie great acting. The script jumping around in time didn't always work for me. Also you make a movie about a musician that musicians are going to be the main audience take the time to buy or rent period correct instruments it is really distracting seeing gear that wasn't invented till decades later in scene.

Richard C (it) wrote: Keywords: low-budget, scatterbrained, campy. With that perspective, Zombie Holocaust is impossible not to like. The plot surpasses that of other zombie films marketed at the same time this was released, covering cannibalism from an anthropological view point, ritualized violence, and devised zombies. The blood and gore tries to be as authentic looking as possible, the dialogue and acting are so cheesy and bad (that it's good?), and although it's composed of similar bits of several films past, it's more than the sum of its parts.

Valentina K (jp) wrote: Be warned, this film is not for those who expect any of the following: a storyline, professional actors, a script, great audio. However, this is a strange, innovative look at a slice of life in a very particular part of LA. As one student in my class put it, "It's like watching poor people's home movies."

Joel A (de) wrote: A charming little sports picture about a young man determined to play for the Notre Dame University Football Team no matter the cost & despite his stature.Sam Austin is terrific as Rudy with that baby face & sensitivity needed for the role.I found it a little flat & uninspiring but I could see that how it would appeal to most audiences. Rather sentimental but overall entertaining.
