Zach T (mx) wrote: To put it bluntly, my contempt for this movie is palpable. Pretentious beyond words, the only redeeming factor of 5 Centimeters Per Second was the animation. The characters were so over-dramatic and unlikable that I was physically in pain. I could spent hours ranting of my hatred, but I grow weary just thinking of this movie, so i will do my best to just forget this cinematic abortion.

David H (au) wrote: Okay... I'll admit bias (thanks to some excellent work by Mystery Science Theater 3000), but this movie is just awesome! I have to admit that this movie really isn't good, but as an anti-hero, he just seems be everything anyone could want. He's got the whole ninja-esque costume, the corny soundtrack, the awesome cars, and he outwits both criminals and police in his silly escapades. Perhaps a movie hits a certain level of "bad" where it just flips and becomes epic.

Vadim D (ru) wrote: It's a solid movie. Enjoyable, but feels very improbable and filled with Hollywood cliches. It would have been great to have more interaction between Redford and Pitt, but the politics are fun drama to watch unfold. But in the end, while it's fairly smart writing, it's just another spy thriller with nothing new to offer.
Paul D (br) wrote: Creepy enough with its sadistic child-killers who are fantastically emotionless in their macabre demeanor, however the film fails to engage the viewer in what is clearly a low-budget horror.
