Dave C (kr) wrote: The film starts with a boat being attacked by the kraken and the funny about this is that the bloke is holding onto the boat and a giant tentacle is wrapped around his leg pulling him towards ..... and in quite a calm voice he shouts to his wife to get the gun. What does wife do? Says "What?" so he has to repeat himself. Surely gun would have been one of the first things to think of without being prompted? I should have taken this opening scene as a warning, the film didn't get much better, kraken is too strong a word for the large squid that appears in this film, the little screen time it does makes me wonder whether that Gryphon I saw a while back was really that bad.
RJohn X (de) wrote: A cute-ish remake of the Yokai Monsters series. Miike (!) has shifted his attention from squibs and other gore spurts to focus on CGI children's movies. Not that this was bad, it was a bit boring in spots. But it was nice to see the Yokai remade in a more mishcevious and whimsical manner. The war was more of a festival than it was the shadow march in the sky of SPOOK WARFARE. The story is silly - the spirit of all of mankind's discarded items, is transforming Yokai into junk machines with propellers, too many sharp teeth, and other whirly burly dangers. As the Kirin Rider, some small boy who mostly looks like a little girl, flies around by the power of the sword and some lightening. Mai Takahashi shows a lot of sweaty thigh and the whole movie hinges on a silly azuki beans song!
Digger M (kr) wrote: Not much to a story-line but "9 songs" is about the relationship between two people and how they share their time together. Its part romance and part porno but the porn was done very tasteful [Thankfully] and kinda gave this feeling that there was love in it and not just something to be thrown away.

Shawn W (us) wrote: Worst entry in the series. Critters infest a low rent apartment building and cause a basement fire that burns seemingly forever but curiously never spreads. Poor plot development, we're not even shown how the Critters return.

Jess L (fr) wrote: An enjoyable movie that isn't great but will do to pass the time. The pairing of Curtis and Wood is in my opinion a mistake. For me, Curtis is far from being a lovable leading man, but having not been around during the period he was popular in, I am hardly knowledgeable in this area. The script is fun and light, plenty of humour throughout (particularly the car chase to the airport that somehow ends up with everyone eating pretzels) and it offers an insight into a particular way of thinking concerning sex during the 60s. Interesting film that loses steam towards the end but is worth checking out if you enjoy romantic comedies.
Aj V (us) wrote: This is a greatly underrated Disney classic. It's funny and cute, but it also has an exciting plot. Plus, McGoohan gives a great performance. I highly recommend this movie.
Byron B (nl) wrote: I don't remember much of the specifics of this film, but I remember I enjoyed it. It was the first film with Sophia Loren that I watched and one of the first foreign pictures. I knew that Loren was generally considered a sex symbol, so I was impressed by the ravaged emotion she portrayed. De Sica continues to show the realism and tragedy of war.
Mike V (us) wrote: This sometimes dark and grotesque animated movie also has an old-word charm in its settings and characters, at times reminding me of a Charles Dickens adaptation. The stop-motion scenes are superb, and there are plenty of visual gags and verbal humor to keep the viewer entertained. AANA
Matt G (ru) wrote: "Before We Go" is basically "Before Sunrise"-light, which is actually kind of a compliment. The dialogue comes across with humor and natural pathos, and Evans portrays a quiet charm that is hard to deny, even if the story is a bit too cutesy at times. Overall, it's a rare American romance that actually tries to be more than a mindless embarrassment.
Luke S (ag) wrote: The performances in this film were all great, but really that's all this movie gave. I couldn't help but feel like "is that it?" by the end of it.I've decided I'd rather watch Daniel Craig fuck others up as James Bond rather then watch him fuck himself up as a has been drug addict.
